Dear Mursu,

First of all, congratulations for getting into Aalto University School of Business! You are going to have amazing time ahead of you. It has been exactly 10 years now, since I opened KY Guide myself, eagerly waiting my studies to begin. As an Aalto BIZ and KY alumna, I would like to share a few tips I hope someone would have told me back then:

Focus on your studies and study well, but remember also to have fun – a good balance is key! Participate to student organization activities you find interesting! Gaining new skills, networks and friendships don’t happen only inside lecture halls. Start to consider different career options early on. Stay open minded, share experiences with others and above all, study subjects you find genuinely interesting. And remember, you will find your own career path eventually, don’t stress about it too much.

Looking back now, I’m so happy I decided to apply to Aalto University School of Business; through the studies, I’ve found my own career in the field of IT and consulting and I am privileged to have a job I find truly interesting and rewarding.

Enjoy the student life ahead of you, I hope to see you in our events soon!

Best regards, Essi Myllymäki M.Sc., Aalto University School of Business Consulting Analyst and Aalto BIZ School collaboration lead at Accenture
