SUBJECT CLUBS

Subject clubs represent the variety of subjects taught at the School of Business. Each study programme has its own subject club organising leisure time activities and maintaining good relations with the faculty.

The clubs also arrange excursions to visit future employers and familiarise students with the fields in which they will work. Despite the subject specific alignment, everyone is welcome to attend the events regardless of study background – it’s enough to show interest in the matter!

Aalto Accounting

Aalto Accounting is the subject club for accounting students, operating as a link between students and three important groups – the faculty, the corporate world, and other students with like-minded interests. Firstly, we actively promote accounting students’ interests towards the faculty. Secondly, we work in close co-operation with the corporate world, offering students connections to interesting employers. Thirdly, we bring accounting students together by organising relaxed events that enable networking with future professionals. The activities include, for example, corporate excursions, career nights, and a yearly study trip. All of these are done by the board selected in the annual meeting in December.

Aalto Business Law (former Jury)

Aalto Business Law is a subject club for business law students, established in 2003. The club brings together business law students, aiming to protect its member’s interests and study opportunities as well as improve relations to fu- ture employers. With our partners, we will offer you a great selection of events. For example, excursions, career into evenings, afterworks, special events for mursus and much more. Also, all Aalto students are welcome to our events.

We are in the process of rebranding – Jury’s new name will be Aalto Business Law. We will turn 20 years old this year, hence we will celebrate Aalto Business Law’s annual party in the autumn.

Aalto Business Technology

Aalto BT is the subject club for all Information and Service Management and Business Analytics majors at Aalto University, as well as anyone else who is interested in data- and technologydriven business. As the biggest subject club at KY, we work together with the ISM department faculty and our partner companies to make sure students’ voices are heard at the university, and companies are aware of the value of our students and know how to recruit them.

Throughout the many events we organise every year such as parties, case competitions, company excursions and our new study trip, we give students an opportunity to have fun and connect with interesting people, companies and academics.

Aalto Economics

Aalto Economics is the subject club of students in Aalto University School of Business who are majoring in, or generally interested in, economics. Our goals are to maintain a good and interactive relationship between the economics students and the Department of Economics, promote economics students and their great abilities to potential employers, inform students about job opportunities and organise social events for our members and all other economics-minded people (you Mursus are warmly welcome too!).

Throughout the year we organise several events varying from our casual monthly Beerconomics to company excursions, career events and study trips abroad. Aalto Finance

Aalto Finance is a student organisation for finance-interested students at Aalto University. We represent both finance majors as well as all students interested in finance. Our core is to connect four key stakeholders: students, alumni, partner companies and the faculty of finance.

We provide opportunities for finance-interested students to get to know each other, connect with the faculty, and develop networks with people working in the related industries. Additionally, we share top-class job announcements and organise a wide range of events to help our stakeholders find unique ways to connect and interact.

Aalto Management

Aalto Management is the subject club of all management students and students interested in management. MGT covers topics ranging from strategy and international business to human resource management, communication, and sustainability.

The purpose of the subject club is to promote the interests of our student members, advance the cooperation between the students and the

Department of Management Studies and support the professional development of the students who are interested in the subject of management and international business.

We organise various activities for our members, aiming to connect them with the faculty, potential employers, and like-minded students. Aalto Marketing Society

Aalto Marketing Society (AMS) is a subject club consisting of students majoring in marketing at Aalto University School of Business, including both bachelor’s and master’s students, as well as those who have a genuine interest in marketing. The organisation serves as a hub for marketing enthusiasts, connecting students, alumni, faculty members, and companies.

Each year, we organise a variety of events, such as company case competitions, career nights, training workshops, social gatherings, and study trips. As representatives of marketing students, we actively participate in improving the marketing curriculum at Aalto University. Overall, we are a welcoming, sociable, and proactive community consisting of enthusiastic marketing students and future professionals.

CEMS Club Helsinki

CEMS is a global alliance of the world’s elite business schools, leading multinational companies and NGOs that together offer the CEMS Master in International Management (MIM). The CEMS MIM itself is a top-ranked and globally prestigious degree. CEMS Club Helsinki is the student organisation of CEMS at Aalto University School of Business. We host social, alumni, and corporate events - some of these open to all students.

The objective of CEMS Club Helsinki is to ensure that both Finnish and international CEMS students at Aalto University maximise their CEMS experience and to help its members create and maintain an exceptional network. IDBM Klubi

IDBM Klubi is a student-driven community of business, design, and technology professionals with diverse backgrounds. Our multidisciplinary network consists of more than 600 students and graduates of the International Design Business Management (IDBM) master’s program. We are thinkers and doers united by an innovation-driven mindset and passion for meaningful impact. We organise afterworks, sitsis, chill hangouts, ski trips, business excursions as well as help with organising IDBM Impact – the key IDBM event of the year.
