SILENCE Settle down and have a moment of silence to prepare yourself for the prayer. Relax and be aware of your immediate environment.

G R AT I T U D E Look back on the things that made you feel grateful today—on what gifts you have given and received, no matter how small.

M E M O RY Recall the events that transpired today and the emotions you felt. What do they mean for you and how was God present within them?

LEARNING Recognize today's shortcomings—yours and others', and practice forgiveness towards both. Remember that God wants us to strive for wholeness, not perfection.

HOPE Anchor yourself to what God plans for you tomorrow—for the opportunities for learning and growth that are still to come.

SILENCE • Find a quiet place where you can sit and relax.

• Close your eyes and be conscious of your breathing.

• Be mindful of your immediate environment. Pay attention to the sensations you are feeling: the weight of your clothes, the temperature of the room, the sounds around you.

• Countdown until you have calmed and cleared your mind.

G R AT I T U D E • Do the words “thank you” resonate with you today? Why or why not?

• What are you thankful for today?

• Have you expressed your gratitude in any way? If so, how?

M E M O RY • Go through the things that happened today - from the moment you woke up until now. What do you consider as the highlights and the low points of the day?

• What are the general emotions, good or bad, that surfaced then?

• How did God play a part in guiding you in these moments?

LEARNING • Have you been hurt at any point of the day? How have these affected you?

• Have you had any shortcomings today? How can you acknowledge and at the same time confront these shortcomings?

• How do you learn to forgive yourself despite these shortcomings?

HOPE • What are some of the events today that you wish you would have done differently, be it points wherein you may have felt hopeless or down? What would you have changed?

• What are the instances today that you wish to encounter again tomorrow?

• Foresee the possible series of events in the coming days and ask, “How may I be more loving towards the other and to God?”

FA L L I N L O V E Fr. Pedro Arrupe, SJ (1907-1991)

Nothing is more practical than

finding God, than

falling in Love

in a quite absolute, final way.

What you are in love with,

what seizes your imagination, will aect everything.

It will decide

what will get you out of bed in the morning,

what you do with your evenings,

how you spend your weekends,

what you read, whom you know,

what breaks your heart,

and what amazes you with joy and gratitude.

Fall in Love, stay in love,

and it will decide everything.
