A MILESTONE AND A MACEDONIAN CALL MISS I O Nare S RE P O R T | an Manuel S. Movido We marking important milestone in God’s ministry which He entrusted to us 9 ½ years ago. We have just finished the 38 provinces of Luzon – the main island of the country. What a privilege to do a small and insignificant part in building God’s kingdom in the Philippines. This is one of the ironies of faith. God uses the insignificant like you and me to accomplish the great. Many of us are anonymous and far from extraordinary but because of our weaknesses, we can be used by God. (I Cor. 1:27-29). Because of our flaws, we are in awe of God’s power and humbled by His choice of us. So, as I look back at the 9 ½ years of ministry with you, I know that my deepest feeling is one of overwhelming gratitude to God and to you for all your faithful We are important Because of our flaws, we are in prayers andmarking financial an support. milestone in God’s ministry which awe of God’s power and humbled

Through it all, we have updated the list of churches in every town and city, conducted Consultation Seminars and trained pastors and church planters for 10 months how to plant churches using the Training for Trainers (T4T) strategy, which was found very effective in China, in all 51 provinces. Lately, we received an urgent “Macedonian calls from four Asian countries – Vietnam, Thailand, Myanmar and Cambodia to help them train their pastors plant new churches using the Philippine method. Because of this, we have to assign our facilitators to those countries and prioritize their needs over ours. We will temporarily freeze our local ministry to help them. We are pleased to be recognized by the Church Planting Movement (CPM) worldwide for our track record in the field of church planting. Please remember our Asian brothers and sisters in your prayers that they may reap the same harvest of souls in the four countries as we did this past decade. Bulacan Pastors are excited to plant new churches in their areas. Church Planting has always been the heartbeat of our ministry which you have faithfully supported. It is what God called us to do. We are finding in our training seminars that those pastors who attended not only benefited from the training but also were encouraged by their fellowship with pastors from other denominations whom they never would have met otherwise. SOLI DEO GLORIA! (To God alone be the Glory) We will reach the whole of Asia - One church and one village at a time.

CORNER STONE THE FOUNDATIONS OF OUR FAITH ACCORDING TO PAUL'S LETTER TO THE ROMANS

Our next series deals with some of the foundational issues regarding the Christian Faith. If we were to build a house, the foundation

is

most

important

because

that's what everything stands on. Without a solid foundation, the house is worthless and is vulnerable to natural disasters and the constant wear and tear of the environment. It is no different with the Christ-follower: without a firm foundation, the ground on which we stand is shaky, unable to withstand the ups and downs of life.

We often touch upon these topics in passing, but have never dealt with doctrine head on. Some of this will sound like preaching, and some might sound like teaching. We hope you are ready to learn. During the next two months we will be going back to the basics and navigating through the book of Romans. We will explore topics such as:

What is the gospel? What is the significance of Christ's death and resurrection? What is sanctification? Does man really need God?

11

These are just some of the topics we will cover, topics that often fly under the radar but are essential and down-right foundational if we call ourselves followers of Christ. We hope and pray that you will grow in

knowledge

and

understanding

of

Jesus and what he has done. Ultimately we are all on the path of change and wish to becoming more like him. But we must always start with the foundation. Join us as we embark on the journey of being "transformed by the renewing of your mind." (ROMANS 12:2)
