n any civilization, the police will simply be a reflection of the general society.

As our country grows more authoritarian, and we sink into deeper levels of corruption, these traits will manifest in the police.

The global elite are bringing in a planetary standard for law enforcement as corporate political enforcers to suppress basic liberties and we the people’s right to restore our once sovereign nations back to free countries.

arren Redding claims a friend used his Facebook account while at his home to post the threatening message.

The Washoe County Sheriff’s Department says that no Darren Redding is associated with them, although the Department has not indicated whether Redding’s friend who made the post is a trainee with them or not.

The Sheriff’s Department originally claimed that Redding’s account was “hacked” but Redding admits that one of his friends used the account while visiting his home. The identity of the person who made the post and if they are connected with the police department needs to be ascertained.

A man claiming to be a trainee sheriff’s deputy posted a threatening Facebook message aimed at Cop Block, an organization which advocates filming police officers, in which the soon to be cop said that protesters should be exterminated in “gas chambers” and that he would beat them up “just for the sheer joy of it.”

“While its rare that we receive direct death threats, they must be taken

seriously, especially when they come from someone with military training and is about to become a law enforcement agent / sheriff,” states a post on the official CopBlock Facebook page.

According to CopBlock, the threats were made by Darren Redding, a former U.S. Marine who claims to be a current cadet in training with the Washoe County Sheriff’s Department. Redding’s Facebook page has now been deleted, but the messages sent to CopBlock have been captured and saved.

“If I had my way, there would be another holocaust with camps and gas chambers full of f***ing c**t scabs like you, I hope you die,” stated Redding, adding, “I hope some cop beats your ass next time you’re “protesting” or filming them or whatever. In fact I’m about to start the training academy for the Washoe County Sheriffs Dept in Reno, Nevada and I can’t wait to deal with punk ass bi***es like you.

you wouldn’t have any problem with 5-0, but something tells me you were probably being a jackass towards a police officer and you got what was coming to you and that inspired you to make a page giving a bad name to all law enforcement,” stated Redding, complaining about one of Cop Block’s posts. Redding claims a friend used his Facebook account while at his home to post the threatening message.

The Washoe County Sheriff’s Office first responded by claiming Redding’s Facebook page had been hacked, but then distanced themselves from him altogether, asserting he was not in training with them.

They also claim that no Darren Redding is associated with them, although the Department has not indicated whether Redding’s friend who made the post is a trainee with them or not. Cop Block responded to the threats by inviting people to contact the Washoe County Sheriff ’s Office and suggest that they refrain from hiring someone who has expressed a desire to see people who exercise their rights gassed in concentration camps.

Hundreds of other Facebook users responded in the comments section, with one former US Army Ranger stating that Redding should not be allowed to become a police officer.

“The numbers of the sheriff’s office where he plans to apply should be given out as well as emails for everyone to write to so that this does not just fall through the cracks and be forgotten about,” remarked Kevin Warrick. “The last thing we need is another out of control officer that will take a dump on people’s rights (or worse).”

While the vast majority of police officers do not espouse such extreme views, this is another example of how a minority of law enforcement personnel, especially those who have served in Iraq and Afghanistan, are now entering the police force with total hostility towards the American people and complete contempt for the Bill of Rights.

Utah Police Obtain Grenade Launchers, Riot Gear From Feds Like Fema, Local Police Are Also Preparing For Mass Panic

P

olice departments across Utah have been receiving surplus military gear wellsuited for riot control, such as grenade launchers and armored vehicles, through a U.S. Department of Defense program that is far more prevalent than what was previously known, according to recently released documents.

For the past five years, the Pentagon has equipped dozens of Utah police departments with a wide variety of military equipment commonly used in riot response such as the aforementioned grenade launchers, M14s, M16s and mine-resistant ambush protected (MRAP) vehicles through the Excess Property 1033 Program, the Salt Lake Tribune reported.

In total, over 2,240 pieces of military equipment valued at nearly $3 million have been sent to Utah since 2009, an amount far more staggering than what was revealed before.

Several of the sheriffs indicated that the equipment would only be used in worst-case scenarios.

“Are they absolutely necessary?

Well, you never know,” Wasatch

County Sheriff Todd Bonner said.

“It’s good to be prepared.”

Iron Co. Sheriff Mark Gower also said that his department’s MRAP will only be used in “very, very limited situations where we anticipate the possibility of someone shooting at us.”

Another sheriff, Lynn Yeates with Box Elder Co., stated that his department’s grenade launchers will be used to fire non-lethal rounds, which are commonly deployed in riot response.

It is no coincidence that the Pentagon is purposely equipping these departments with military gear for civil unrest.

Currently, America is in worse shape economically than it was prior to the 2008 financial crisis. For one thing, America’s manufacturing might has disappeared due to the myriad of government regulations.

To satisfy consumer demand in spite of this, the U.S. has relied on foreign demand for the dollar as the world’s

But eventually, as the Federal Reserve continues to create more dollars, the value of the already weak

dollar will decline to the point where foreign countries will no longer accept them for their goods, destroying the American economy as it finally sinks under its heavy trade deficit.

The Fed’s only response to this and the still lingering recession is to print even more dollars.“On top of the trillions in dollars already printed thus far, the Fed continues quantitative easing to the tune of about $80 billion per month,” Marc Slavo wrote on the subject. “It’s the only arrow left in the Fed’s quiver, because failing to inject these billions into stock markets and banks will lead to an almost instant collapse of the U.S. financial system.”

“Unfortunately, the current strategy is chock full of its own pitfalls, the least of which being the real possibility of a hyper-inflationary environment developing over coming months and years.”

In essence, by propping up the U.S. “house of cards” economy with the current round of quantitative easing, the Fed is only advancing the collapse of the dollar and the mass chaos that will ensue.

Other federal agencies are also making preparations for this mass rioting and panic.

The Federal Emergency Management Agency is currently looking for contractors that can collect and remove bio-medical waste during national emergencies, as reported earlier by Paul Joseph Watson.

Previously, FEMA unsuccessfully sought a contractor that could supply 100,000 medical scrubs to be delivered to 1,000 make-shift “tent hospitals” within 48 hours of a declared emergency.

Last fall, FEMA’s parent agency, the Department of Homeland Security, spent $500,000 on automatic pepper spray launchers complete with 240,000 projectiles.

The government knows that a collapse is coming.

Texas Cop Caught Handing Homeless Man Boots Another Officer Goes Above and Beyond the Call of Duty Last month, another Texas police officer was caught red-handed perpetrating a selfless act of kindness.

Unbeknownst to him, Odessa Police Department Cpl. Jeremy Walsh was photographed from inside a nearby restaurant getting friendly with a homeless man.

Walsh was familiar with the man, referred to as A.J., and knew he was badly in need of shoes.

As the corporal had boots at home he didn’t need, he thought up a better, more humanitarian use for them.

“I had some extra boots at my house and they’re actually a size too small and I found A.J. and saw if he wanted them,” Walsh said, according to the Odessa American.

“I figured he could use them a lot more than I can.”

“It seemed like the right thing to do,” Cpl. Walsh told KWES. “I had something that somebody else needed that I didn’t need.”

Two weeks later, the photo of him handing the boots and a water bottle to A.J. appeared on the City of Odessa’s Facebook page, and Cpl. Walsh suddenly found he’d become somewhat of a celebrity.

“I’ve had a lot of supportive com-

ments and pats on the back from the guys,” Walsh recalled. “Transients or homeless people, they’re still people. If I can help him or anyone else, I can and I will.”

Cpl. Walsh’s story is yet another reminder that not all police officers are of the crazed, lunatic brute-cop goon-squad persuasion, and that many times officers go above and beyond what is required in their normal lines of duty to actually help people.

Last month, Infowars also ran a story regarding a video that featured Rosenberg, Texas Sgt. Ariel Soltura parking his cruiser to interact with a child. In the video, an observably lonely boy is noticed tossing up a football, seemingly waiting for a companion. Sgt. Soltura steps out of his vehicle, then proceeds to toss the football back and forth with the boy.

Cpl. Walsh’s tale also brings to mind a story we covered back in November 2012 in which an NYPD officer was also caught committing a selfless act of kindness.

On that cold night, the officer was also unknowingly caught handing a homeless man a pair of $75 Skechers he had just purchased.

the authenticity of such events, especially as these types of stories seemingly occur with such infrequency. But whatever spurred these random acts of goodwill, we truly hope more are forthcoming.

While reports on good cops are virtually on par with Sasquatch sightings, they’re a welcomed departure from the day-to-day police horror stories Americans are all too tired of enduring.

Officer Friendly vs. The Police State The Federal Takeover of Local Law Enforcement

I

n cities and towns across America there is a disturbing trend: police are indistinguishable from combat troops. This trend is incentivized and financed by the federal government. The Pentagon, through its 1033 program, is donating military hardware designed for war to law enforcement agencies.

The Department of Homeland Security also plays an instrumental role in this transformation as it nudges police departments away from domestic law enforcement and community service and converts local cops into counterterrorism and intelligence “partners” aligned with the federal government and the national security state.

Thousands of police departments around the country are amassing huge stockpiles of military-grade weapons under a federal program that has distributed more than $35 billion in federal grants since September 11, 2001.

“The buying spree has transformed local police departments into small, army-like forces, and put intimidating equipment into the hands of civilian officers,” writes Andrew Becker.

Increasingly, these small armies of heavily armed cops are falling under the control of the federal government.

They are no longer under the purview or control of local municipalities.

In addition to creeping federal control of local police, public-private relationships, in essence fascist business arrangements, are blurring the distinction between private security company operations and public-fi-

nanced law enforcement. Through COPS (Community Oriented Policing Services) and other programs, the Justice Department is forging private security and law enforcement partnerships. Since the 1980s, private security firms have outnumbered police officers. They have lobbied state legislatures to broaden their jurisdiction, an effort supported by the Justice Department and the Department of Homeland Security.

“Since the attacks of September 11, 2001, law enforcement-private security partnerships have been viewed as critical to preventing terrorism. Local law enforcement and private security organizations working together is vitally important to homeland security,” the DOJ’s Office of Justice Programs states in a white paper released in September, 2005.

In news releases and similar propaganda, the Department of Homeland Security states that the federal government is merely helping cash-strapped local police face the challenges of terrorism and crime.

“Financial grants earmarked for ‘improving homeland security’ aren’t the only DHS carrot, enticing cashstrapped police departments to subject themselves to federal management,” writes Joe Wolverton for The New American. “DHS also uses the establishment of ‘buffer zones’ and fusion centers to accomplish its surreptitious seizure of police forces.”

Fusion centers created jointly by the Justice Department and the

Department of Homeland Security now coordinate the activities of these public-private law enforcement and security relationships.

They are designed to facilitate information sharing between the federal government, including the FBI and the CIA, and local law enforcement.

A two year Senate investigation, however, revealed that “fusion centers often produced irrelevant, useless or inappropriate intelligence reporting to DHS, and many produced no intelligence reporting whatsoever” and consistently violate civil liberties and privacy.

Documents produced by the Missouri Information Analysis Center (MIAC) reveal fusion centers are not interested in domestic terrorism so much as keeping tabs on the establishment’s political opposition. In 2009, Infowars.com reported how the MIAC portrayed political candidates Ron Paul, Chuck Baldwin and Bob Barr as domestic terrorists.

Last year, the DBA Press and the Center for Media and Democracy produced a report showing how fusion centers and the government’s purported counter terror apparatus was employed to destroy the Occupy Wall Street movement. “Put simply,” the report states, “heavily-funded municipal, county, state and federal ‘counter-terrorism’ agencies (often acting in concert through state/ regional ‘fusion centers’) view citizens engaged in movements of political and social dissent, such as Occupy

Wall Street, as nothing less than nascent, if not bona fide, ‘terrorist’ threats.” The report revealed how the effort to undermine the Occupy movement was carried out “on behalf of, and in cooperation with, some of the nation’s largest financial and corporate interests—the very entities that the Occupy Wall Street (OWS) movement and others oppose as usurpers of American democracy.”

More than a decade of propaganda disseminated by the federal government has accomplished the goal of converting law enforcement and emergency personnel into police state functionaries no longer capable of questioning the role they play. “In none of these instances,” underscored by the DPA Press report cited above, “did any agent of the nation’s ‘counter terrorism’ apparatus question whether they were ‘crossing a line of demarcation between appropriate law enforcement/public safety’ activity, and something much darker,” notes Beau Hodai. “After all, these records do indicate that we, as a nation, have taken our first steps down the road that these citizens clearly fear.”

Under the homeland security and fusion center model, terrorism, crime – and dissent – are now inseparable. In 2013, Thomas Kirk, the director of a fusion center in West Virginia, told his colleagues at the Homeland Security Policy Institute in Washington how fusion centers, initially established a tool in the war on terrorism, are used by police for domestic crime and other duties not associated with crime.

“Initially, fusion centers were intended to be intelligence sharing partnerships between municipal, county, state, tribal and federal law enforcement/’counter terrorism’ agencies, dedicated solely to the dissemination/sharing of ‘terrorism’-related intelligence,” writes Hodai for PR Watch. “However, shortly follow-

ing the creation of fusion centers, their focus shifted from this exclusive interest in ‘terrorism,’ to one of ‘all hazards’ -- an umbrella term used to describe virtually anything (including ‘terrorism’) that may be deemed a ‘hazard’ to the public, or to certain private sector interests. And, as has been mandated through a series of federal legislative actions and presidential executive orders, fusion centers (and the ‘counter terrorism’ entities that they are comprised of) work - in ever closer proximity with private corporations, with the stated aim of protecting items deemed to be ‘critical infrastructure/key resources.’”

Police and domestic security are now frontline troops in a war against dissent and the real terrorists according to the ruling elite – the American people, especially Americans opposed to endless war, the expansion of the national security state, and the slow motion degradation of the Constitution and the Bill of Rights. Despite Lack of Coverage, Good Cops Are Out There.. Seriously Good Cop Scenarios Play Out All The Time, But Without Media Attention To Amplify Them, No One Would Really Know With tales depicting virtuous, humanitarian cops rarely making headlines, it’s easy to get jaded to the whole “cops are your friend” line.

No doubt the deluge of police brutality videos on tap 24/7 can serve to reinforce that negative perception, and personal experiences often play some role in souring people to the boys in blue.

But as much as it seems as though some seedy, power-tripping egomaniac inhabits every cruiser, like all other things, it is unfair to broadbrush characterize the entire lot.

Cops Should Follow the Rule of 10 A cop that does the right thing is rare.. but statistically that can’t be correct. While endless stories of police corruption going back to antiquity can certainly make it feel that way, good cops are also out there balancing the scales, working to sustain the equilibrium between misconduct and honor.

Unfortunately, these noble public servants don’t often receive the praise they deserve. Any and all media attention is reserved for the guys that killed that homeless man, or the guy that shot that kid with the toy gun, or the guy that pulled those ladies over and strip searched them.

But freak occurrences can sometimes surface.

In January, for instance, a stirring

dash-cam video emerged featuring Sgt. Ariel Soltura, a Texas police sergeant who stopped his vehicle to toss around a football with a noticeably lonely boy.

This scenario may have played out a hundred times before, but without media attention to amplify it, no one would really know (if a cop throws a football in the woods and no one is around to hear it..). But through the media lens and with the help of the Internet, the Texas sergeant’s act of compassion was magnified.

This relates somewhat to a smart business strategy. Customer service workers are taught the customer is always right. In theory, one unhappy customer could tell 10 friends about their bad service, each of whom would tell 10 friends and so on until the business sank. This is loosely referred to as the Rule of 10.

The principle could apply to police work. A video of a cop beating the living daylights out of a jaywalker would typically make many people upset, and would thus go viral much faster. But feel-good videos about cops that help catch burglars terrorizing neighborhoods either do not exist, or go unnoticed or underreported.

And as previously mentioned there is no shortage of police brutality videos, but like I said, freak occurrences do sometimes happen.

The idea or solution, of course, is to

avoid any and all bad publicity simply by treating every customer, or citizen, with respect, dignity and honor, which should appropriately be reciprocated.

“Bad Apples” can spoil the bunch Another reason bad cops get all the attention is because the journalists who have to report their atrocious acts are generally, and aptly, filled with genuine disgust.

These are the people entrusted to protect and defend our livelihoods.

From childhood, they are held up as model citizens, the very epitome of what is expected of every American.

So when that trust is violated, they fall hard and they make headlines, and rightly so. And they can bring entire departments down with them.

But the first line you’ll always hear is, “that was just a bad apple.” Again, statistically speaking, chances are that’s not correct.

When dealing with a rogue officer, a Police Chief is always faced with the very real prospect the behavior could be systemic. In that case, getting rid of one “bad apple” won’t have much of an effect.

But the bunch can also easily be saved. Everyday each officer is presented with the option to let a “bad apple’s” bad behavior influence his own. He can choose to mimic that behavior or pursue what’s right. While

being a snitch is universally frowned upon, certain circumstances demand certain courses of action, even if that means being cast out of the group (encouragement easily enough given by me as I sat safely behind my keyboard).

That both good and bad cop can exist within the same person should also be considered.

Hatred is a Learned Response The truth is the hatred of police is a learned response.

If you are one of the millions of Americans who have come to regard police with an overwhelming sense of dread, you have likely been traumatized by the police state in one way or another.

Perhaps you were arrested, or accused of something you didn’t do, or maybe you saw someone or know someone. Regardless of how that fear instilled itself, it was a learned response.

But, for the boy who saw the police car pull up, and the pleasant policeman step out and motion to throw

the ball, the memory of an incredible encounter with a public servant will forever shape how he views police.

And like the title says, they really are out there, seriously. Just look at some of the comments from police in regards to Sgt. Soltura’s football video, copied over from the PoliceOne.com website: - We are not Robocops, we are human. Nice to see that side shown from time to time.. Not everyone is the enemy, but be prepared for those who are. Good Job. - Our chief encourages us to do exactly what we see here. It’s not unusual at all for us to stop and shoot a few hoops, play some catch or throw a football around for a little while.

The kids like it and if it can help us turn even one around, it was worth it.

Great job Sgt. Soltura!!

Next day at briefing he gives me a plaque from the Boy Scouts stating, “To Officer _________ In Appreciation For Devoted And Untiring Work From An Old Lady.” Any department that condemns their officers for positive contacts with the public no matter what it is, has a problem.

As many corrupt vermin as I’ve helped sterilize over the years using the lights of journalism and publicity, it is comforting to know, or at least hope, that just as many good police exist.

riting for the Atlantic Council, a prominent think tank based in Washington DC, Harlan K. Ullman warns that an “extraordinary crisis” is needed to preserve the “new world order,” which is under threat of being derailed by nonstate actors like Edward Snowden.

The Atlantic Council is considered to be a highly influential organization with close ties to major policy makers across the world. It’s headed up by Gen. Brent Scowcroft, former United States National Security Advisor under U.S. Presidents Gerald Ford and George H. W. Bush. Snowcroft has also advised President Barack Obama.

In an article entitled War on Terror Is not the Only Threat, Ullman asserts that, “tectonic changes are reshaping the international geostrategic system,” arguing that it’s not military superpowers like China but “non-state actors” like Edward Snowden, Bradley Manning and anonymous hackers who pose the biggest threat to the “365 year-old Westphalian system” because they

non-state actors.”

Ullman concludes that the elimination of non-state actors and empowered individuals “must be done” in order to preserve the new world order.

A summary of their material suggests that the Atlantic Council’s definition of a “new world order” is a global technocracy run by a fusion of big government and big business under which individuality is replaced by trans-humanist singularity.

Ullman’s rhetoric sounds somewhat similar to that espoused by Trilateral Commission co-founder and

think tank, also suggested that the United States should launch a staged provocation to start a war with Iran.

Ullman’s concern over failing state institutions having their influence eroded by empowered individuals, primarily via the Internet, is yet another sign that the elite is panicking over the “global political awakening” that has most recently expressed itself via the actions of people like Edward Snowden, Julian Assange, Bradley Manning and their growing legion of supporters.

Speaker Boehner Severely Criticized on Facebook for Not Moving to Impeach Obama Thousands Of Comments Took Boehner And Republicans To Task For Not Moving To Impeach Obama

he image is intended to be a sharp retort to Obama’s declaration that he will rule by imperial fiat.

The posted image, however, is little more than empty rhetoric considering the behavior of establishment Republicans who refuse to seriously confront Obama’s constitutional violations.

Boehner and establishment Republicans cannot easily portray themselves as defenders of the Constitution. A large number of commenters on the popular social media network told them as much.

Thousands of comments took Boehner and Republicans to task for not moving to impeach Obama. Others defended Obama and accused Boehner

and the Republicans of obstructionism.

“Quit acting like you are going to do anything remotely close to following your Oath of Office!” said one commenter. The remark is a reference to Article VI, Clause 3 that requires Senators and Representatives take an oath of office to support the Constitution.

“Dear Mr. Speaker, If you believed in the Constitution or even read it, you would start impeachment proceedings against the president. But you won’t, you are much too weak a leader to do the right thing,” another commenter complained about Republican lack of resolve.

Fear of even mentioning the “I” word demonstrates just how trepidatious Republicans are when it comes to penalizing Obama for his crimes.

ciary meeting in December, Republicans were so adverse to the subject they didn’t even mention the word impeachment. “They didn’t use that word, of course. Republican leaders frown on such labeling because it makes the House majority look, well, crazy,” Dana Milbank wrote for the Washington Post.

“They’ve failed at cutting off funding, they’ve had difficulty suing Obama in court and they lost the 2012 election. That basically leaves them with the option of making loud but ineffectual noises about high crimes and misdemeanors,” Milbank, who was lambasted for daring to criticize Obama in 2008, continued.

“The Framers recognized that presidential abuse of power carried

the greatest potential to wreck the republic,” notes Andrew C. McCarthy. “Adamant that the presidency they were creating must not become a monarchy, they carried on debates over the Constitution that were consumed with precluding this very real possibility. In the end, the Framers armed Congress with two responsive weapons: the power of the purse and the power of impeachment.”

Not since Republicans impeached Bill Clinton for lying under oath about a dalliance with an aide have Republicans shown the sort of resolve required when a president violates the Constitution and engages in high crimes and misdemeanors.

It is now up to a small number of House Republicans to keep the effort

to impeach Obama alive. In December, Texas Rep. Steve Stockman was characterized by Salon as “exotic” for distribute proposed Articles of Impeachment to his colleagues.

A number of Republicans have urged impeachment proceedings, including Rep. Duncan Hunter of California (for Obama’s move to bomb Syria without congressional approval), Oklahoma Senator Jim Inhofe and Tom Coburn (over Benghazi), Iowa Republican Steve King and Texas Rep. Louie Gohmert (over the debt), among others.

DHS Gave Muslim Brotherhood VIP Treatment, No TSA Pat Downs Like Fema, Local Police Are Also Preparing For Mass Panic

A

newly released document obtained via a Freedom of Information Act request confirms that the State Department ordered the Department of Homeland Security to spare members of the Muslim Brotherhood traveling to the US in 2012 a TSA pat down or any kind of secondary screening.

The one page document (PDF), obtained by the Investigative Project on Terrorism, shows that members of a Muslim Brotherhood delegation traveling through Minneapolis Airport, New York’s John F. Kennedy Airport and Dulles Airport were handed expedited entry known as “port courtesy,” which is normally reserved for high ranking government officials and dignitaries. At the time, the Muslim Brotherhood’s candidate

Mohamed Morsi, later deposed, had not been elected president.

The document contains four separate entries which include a directive that Muslim Brotherhood members, “not be pulled into secondary upon arrival at a point of entry.” As well as a TSA pat down, secondary screening involves carry on luggage being inspected by hand and the use of puffer explosive detectors.

Two following entries confirm that Muslim Brotherhood members traveled through both JFK and Dulles Airports “smoothly” and “without incident” after the DHS had been alerted about “port courtesies”.

Another entry reads; “MB delegate departure: In response to a request from the MB, the desk worked with the office of Foreign Missions to arrange for TSA to escort the last member of the visiting MB delegation, Abdul Mawgoud Dardery, through security at Minneapolis Airport and JFK Airport

on April 15. We did not hear anything further from the MB, so we assume the departure went smoothly. In the coming days, we’re going to write down a list of procedures for dealing with MB visits to the United States.”

The delegate was given privileged access despite one of their members being linked to a previous child pornography investigation in the United States. In addition, the Muslim Brotherhood, which has now been declared a terrorist organization by the Egyptian government after bombing a police HQ last month, is closely affiliated with Al-Qaeda and has long been cited as the foundational inspiration for both Al-Qaeda and Islamic Jihad.

The IPT also highlights the fact that individuals traveling from Syria to give speaking tours in the United States, people like Sheik Osama al-Rifai, that have openly endorsed Al-Qaeda militant groups under the

banner of the Islamic Front, are being handed visas by the State Department with no questions asked.

While completely innocent Americans continue to be subjected to invasive TSA grope down procedures and placed on no fly lists for no reason whatsoever, members of a group with direct links to terrorism were given VIP treatment by the State Department, the TSA and the Department of Homeland Security.

In total, over 2,240 pieces of military equipment valued at nearly $3 million have been sent to Utah since 2009, an amount far more staggering than what was revealed before.

Kelly Thomas Verdict: Cops Now Have License to Murder

“This Is Carte Blanche To Police Officers To Do Whatever They Want”

he acquittal of two Fullerton, California police officers in the beating death of Kelly Thomas, a homeless man who was pummeled into a coma as he begged for his life, underscores the fact that cops now have a license to murder.

Thomas, a mentally disabled homeless man, was beaten, tasered, suffocated and pistol whipped as he lay on a street corner being sat on by no less than six police officers during an incident in July 2011.

In what is undoubtedly one of if not the most disturbing police brutality videos ever, Thomas can be heard pleading for his father, moaning, “Daddy, daddy, they are killing me,” as officers prolong the assault.

According to the jury in the case, who found officer Manuel Ramos and officer Jay Cicinelli not guilty on all charges of murder and manslaughter, Thomas just coincidentally chose to

die of an undiagnosed heart condition in hospital five days after the beating having never regained consciousness.

Police claimed that the brutal pummeling they inflicted on Thomas, illustrated by shocking photos of his bloodied and swollen body, was a justified response to his pathetic attempts to resist being murdered.

“These peace officers were doing their job. They had no malice in their heart,” said John Barnett, an attorney for Ramos.

Ramos’ lack of malice was clearly evident during the encounter, when he grunts at Thomas, “You see these fists? They’re about to f**k you up.”

Claims made by police that Thomas was resisting because he was on drugs were disproved by toxicology reports which found no drugs in Thomas’ system.

“I’m just horrified. They got away with murdering my son,” Cathy Thomas, the victim’s mother, told reporters.

“This is carte blanche to police officers to do whatever they want,” said Ron Thomas, the victim’s father and a retired Sheriff’s Deputy.

The jury bought the argument made by the prosecution that a prostrate and unarmed Thomas posed a threat to six armed police officers, which as William Norman Grigg highlights, now means that any meager form of resistance against sustained violence metered out by police officers is justification for murder.

“John Barnett, the police union attorney who represented the killer cops, insisted that the beating was an appropriate response to Thomas’s pathetic, doomed struggle to save his life, writes Grigg, adding, “The jury validated the argument that the act of resisting such criminal violence is a capital offense worthy of summary execution.”

Discovery Channel: Stop Worrying About Fukushima Radiation!

he Discovery Channel has posted a YouTube video urging its viewers to ignore “trolls” and “fearmongerers” and stop worrying about Fukushima radiation.

In the clip, host Trace Dominguez blames a “mob” for trying to make others believe that deadly radiation from the crippled nuclear power plant could be hitting the west coast of the United States and is responsible for killing animals and sea life.

Dominguez highlights a viral video showing an individual using a Geiger counter to detect abnormally high levels of radiation on a beach in San Francisco, an act that led public health officials to discover radiation hot spots 1400% above normal levels that one expert said posed a health risk to young children and babies. As Infowars reporters who subsequently visited the beach confirmed, authorities have failed to erect warning signs to notify residents that the area is dangerous.

Despite experts saying the radiation discovered on the beach was a health risk, the Discovery Channel host blames “conspiracy hawks” for freaking out about the issue, despite admitting that background radiation on the beach is 7 times normal levels.

The video concludes with Dominguez claiming that the Fukushima nuclear plant meltdown, which one scientist recently warned could prompt complete evacuation of the west coast of North America, poses no threat whatsoever to Americans or even fish and sea life in the Pacific Ocean.

Dominguez’s attitude towards the issue in scoffing at those concerned over Fukushima radiation mirrors the establishment rhetoric.

However, while sidelining the matter authorities are simultaneously preparing for radiation threats. Yesterday it was announced that 19 different government and academic bodies would begin testing sea kelp forests across California in an effort to detect radiation from Fukushima. The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services recently ordered 14 million doses of potassium iodide. The DHS is also flying helicopters low over major cities to measure background radiation levels.

Experts have concluded that the radioactive plume from the nuclear accident in March 2011 will reach U.S. coastal waters by early 2014. Fish

To claim that the ongoing Fukushima crisis poses no danger whatsoever to the Pacific Ocean is patently ludicrous.

When yachtsman Ivan Macfadyen traveled across the Pacific Ocean from Japan to San Francisco, he was shocked to discover that an area he once saw teeming with life was now a dead zone.

“After we left Japan, it felt as if the ocean itself was dead,” Macfadyen told the Newcastle Herald.

“We hardly saw any living things. We saw one whale, sort of rolling helplessly on the surface with what looked like a big tumor on its head. It was pretty sickening.”

It would be completely naive to believe that public health authorities in the United States would not, whether deliberately or through incompetence, mislead the American people on major health issues.

Aside from TEPCO and Japanese officials continually lying in downplaying the severity of the Fukushima crisis, lest we forget that when the EPA told ground zero workers not to worry about breathing toxic air after 9/11, it resulted in 20,000 of them suffering debilitating and in some cases fatal illnesses.

The false claim that there were no deaths or long-term health effects connected to the accident at the Three Mile Island nuclear plant was also based on deceptive assurances made at the time by authorities that levels

of radiation emitted were harmless.

In reality, cancer rates in children and infants living in Dauphin County, where Three Mile Island is located, are significantly higher than the national average.

It also took scientists 24 years to conclude that the Chernobyl nuclear disaster in 1986 was responsible for 1 million cancer deaths as well as numerous other diseases amongst both humans and animals.

Numerous governments, including the French government, “deliberately suppressed information about the spread of radioactive fallout” as a result of Chernobyl. In parts of France, thyroid cancer surged as the population didn’t take steps to protect itself having believed their government that the radiation cloud was harmless.

Let’s not forget either the disgraceful legacy of Project Shad, wherein the US Department of Defense exposed unwit-

ting and unwilling participants to deadly biological and chemical weapons.

potential future candidate, Bloomberg will likely expand current gun confiscation training by the military if appointed head of Pentagon Former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg, known for his anti-gun agenda, was considered to succeed Robert Gates as Secretary of Defense and will likely be a candidate in the future, a nightmare scenario considering that the military is already training to confiscate firearms from Americans.

In his latest book Duty: Memoirs of a Secretary at War, Gates revealed that Bloomberg was on his “short list” of candidates considered to succeed him.

“For my own job, my short list included Hillary [Clinton], Colin Powell, [former CIA director Leon] Panetta and New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg,” Gates wrote on page 537 of his book.

As Bloomberg is well known for abusing his authority to attack gun rights, this revelation, combined with past revelations of soldiers already training to disarm Americans, is very concerning for peaceful gun owners.

In 2012, we revealed that a United States Army document instructed soldiers to deny access to “armories, arsenals, hardware, and sporting good stores, pawnshops, and gunsmith establishments or other places where

weapons or ammunition are stored” during a “civil disturbance.”

“To conserve manpower, consideration may be given to evacuating sensitive items, such as weapons from stores and storing them in a central facility,” the document added.

“In other words, during martial law or a government declared civil disturbance in reaction to ‘radical or extremist elements,’ guns will be confiscated and held by the military,” Kurt Nimmo wrote on the subject.

More recently, former Navy SEAL Ben Smith revealed that the Obama administration is asking top military officials if they would be prepared to disarm Americans.

“Going back to the beginning of this administration, I’ve had friends within the community talking about how they were brought in and questioned with people from more towards the top side,” Smith said. “The questioning… where it was pointing was do you feel comfortable disarming American citizens?”

Considering that Bloomberg falls right in line with the Obama administration on gun bans and that he was caught using taxpayer-funded resources to operate “Mayors Against Illegal Guns,” it’s safe to say that he would no doubt expand training for gun confiscations during martial law or a government-declared emergency.

County Sheriffs Stand Up For the Right To Bear Arms These Sheriffs Understand The Dangers Of Power Concentrated Into Those Who Do Not Respect The Bill Of Rights In their attacks on the remaining vestiges of the republic, politicians have become increasingly dependent on police to enforce their unconstitutional laws pushed upon the American people. Yet county sheriffs across the country are refusing to be used as political tools. These sheriffs understand the dangers of power concentrated into those who do not respect the Bill of Rights. In particular, they are taking a stand for the right to keep and bear arms. It’s not just one sheriff or five, but rather dozens of sheriffs across the country who are united in a fight against gun control, following the lead of Sheriff Richard Mack who won a Supreme Court ruling against provisions of the Brady Act in 1997. These men believe in the Second Amendment.

Last May, 55 of Colorado’s 62 sheriffs filed a federal lawsuit against two gun control bills passed by the Colorado legislature, which outlawed magazines over 15 rounds and forced background checks on private transfers.

In their press release announcing the lawsuit, the sheriffs spelled out several strong arguments.

“The suit points out that House Bill 1224 outlaws the majority of firearm magazines, which are an essential component for a functional firearm,” it read. “The bill directly outlaws magazines of more than 15 rounds [and] indirectly outlaws many smaller magazines with its vague language about ‘designed to be readily converted.’”

“This appears to outlaw all handgun and rifle box magazines with remov-

able floor plates, and all rifle tube magazines with removable end caps.”

Not only does this violate the Second Amendment, the press release added, but it also violates the Supreme Court’s ruling in District of Columbia v. Heller against prohibiting arms which are “typically possessed by law-abiding citizens for lawful purposes.”

“Another problem with the magazine ban is the requirement for ‘continuous possession’ of grandfathered magazines,” the press release continued.

“This makes it illegal for a wife to let her husband use her magazine for self-defense, or to borrow her magazine and take it to a target range.”

“Because disabled citizens cannot change magazines rapidly, their fundamental right to self-defense in the home is especially threatened by the magazine ban.”

In regards to House Bill 1229, which imposed background checks on private firearm transfers, the sheriffs pointed out that the requirement would prevent outdoor organizations from lending rifles during a hunting trip. They also noted that a family farm which is organized as a corporation would also have to pay $22 per family member and farmhand for background checks each time the farm purchases a firearm.

Several months later in November, a district judge in Denver ruled that the sheriffs couldn’t sue the state as a group because they are elected officials, but they were still allowed to move forward with the suit as individuals.

The suit, however, wasn’t their

only method of combating the unconstitutional laws; the sheriffs also refused to enforce the laws in their official capacity.

One of the sheriffs, John Cooke of Weld Co., told the Denver Post that it was the first time he ever decided not to enforce a law.

In New York last spring, Erie Co. Sheriff Timothy B. Howard publicly stated that his department will not enforce the state’s controversial Secure Ammunition and Firearms Enforcement Act, which bans magazines holding over 10 rounds, restricts more than seven rounds being loaded in a magazine, requires background checks for ammunition, amongst other draconian provisions.

He added that the law is one of the strongest examples of the government not listening to the people.

“It’s an unenforceable law and I believe it will ultimately be declared unconstitutional,” he said during a press conference. “Do you want law enforcement people that will say ‘I will do this because I’m told to do this, even if I know it’s wrong?’”

Howard won his re-election in November due to his stance against the gun control law.

“The SAFE Act was a major issue in this [Erie Co. Sheriff] election,” Carl J. Calabrese, a political consultant, said to the Buffalo News. “A lot of people in Erie County, both Republicans and Democrats, are hunters, gun owners and shooters … These are motivated people who get out and vote.”

iffs in California met with Gov. Jerry Brown last fall to try and persuade him to veto gun control bills passed by the legislature, including bans on lead ammunition and semiautomatic rifles.

Brown ultimately vetoed only the ban on semi autos.

“Our way of life means nothing to these politicians and our interests are not being promoted in the legislative halls of Sacramento or Washington, D.C.,” Siskiyou Co. Sheriff Jon E. Lopey said to the New York Times.

And in June, a Florida sheriff was charged with “official misconduct” after he released a suspect held on an unconstitutional gun charge and removed his arrest file.

Liberty County Sheriff Nicholas Finch was booked into his own jail by the Florida Department of Law Enforcement, which accused him of covering up the March arrest of Floyd Eugene Parrish after releasing him from the Liberty County Jail.

Parrish had been arrested for carrying a concealed firearm without a license, a third-degree felony in Florida.

One of Finch’s deputies, Sgt. James Joseph Hoagland, arrested Parrish during a traffic stop after finding a .25 automatic pistol in Parrish’s pocket and a holstered revolver sitting in the front seat, according to court records.

Finch later arrived at the jail and spoke to Parrish, after which he took the arrest file and told correctional officers that Parrish would be released with no charges.

He also ordered them to return Parrish’s firearms.

Several days later, Finch told Hoagland that he released Parrish because he “believed in Second Amendment rights,” according to the FDLE investigators, who later issued an arrest warrant for Finch.

Finch’s attorney did not refute the story as told by investigators.

“The records at the jail show exactly what happened in this case and the records speak the truth,” Finch’s attorney Jimmy Judkins said. “The sheriff looked at the facts and said ‘I believe in the Second Amendment and we’re not going to charge him.’”

“That is not misconduct at all. That is within the Sheriff’s prerogative whether to charge someone or not.”

The jury later agreed with him, finding Finch “not guilty.”

After the trial, Finch said that he took the stand during his defense so he could tell each juror that he did not commit any crimes.

“When I took the stand, I had direct eye contact with each juror and each one was looking at me and paying attention to what I said,” Finch said in an exclusive interview on the Alex Jones Show. “They knew when I got done testifying that I was telling the truth.”

“After I got off the stand, I was convinced that I was going to be found ‘not guilty.’”

Finch also said that when he joined the military in 1981, he swore an oath to protect and defend the Constitution.

“I agreed with that oath so much that I went to war for this country,” he stated. “To me, the Constitution

still means something.”

“So I made the decision not to go through with the arrest and went to the jail personally.”

By doing so, Finch took a big risk to himself and his family.

“Five months without pay and having a felony hanging over my head had an effect on me,” he said. “But I was more concerned for my wife and my two daughters; they didn’t sign up for this, they didn’t deserve this.”

“I’m a big boy, they [the state] can throw anything they want at me, but it was hard on them and that makes it hard on me.”

“Had they prevailed in this witch hunt,” Finch added, “I would have lost my law enforcement certificate, I would have lost the 15 years I have in the Florida retirement system and I would have probably gone to jail for a little while.”

But he stood his ground and he prevailed.

“The prosecutor, when this all started, offered me a deal,” he said.

“The deal was, ‘Sheriff, if you resign, we’ll drop the charges and then we’ll hold a special election in two years and you can run for office again,’ and you know what I said to that.”

“They called back a week later and said ‘if you don’t decide by Friday, the deal is off the table and we’ll go to war.’ I looked at my attorney and said ‘you tell that prosecutor that at least one of us has been to war and if that’s what he wants, that’s what he’s going to get.’”

It is men like these that are going to save this country.

Texas DPS: Reenactors Can Carry Outside Capitol But Not Second Amendment Activists Reenactors Fire Their Black Powder Rifles While Gun Rights Activists Stand With Empty Holsters

he Texas Department of Public Safety banned a gun rights group from carrying black powder firearms outside the capitol today despite allowing historical reenactors to fire their rifles on the capitol grounds this afternoon.

Outside the state capitol building, the Descendants of Confederate Veterans fired three volleys from their black powder rifles while several hundred activists at the Gun Rights Across America rally stood with empty holsters because the DPS prevented them from carrying.

“This is so unreal,” one activist said about the situation.

The Texas state coordinator for Gun Rights Across America, Tammy Koontz, emphasized that her problem was entirely with the DPS’s hypocrisy, not with the Descendants of Confederate Veterans.

“The problem is that we’ve been trying for three months to get black powder firearms here just for this rally for open carry,” she said in an interview with Infowars. “We open carried at this rally last year and yet they told us that we couldn’t carry

this year.”

“We had Come and Take It Austin [another gun rights group] presenting a black powder pistol [as a raffle prize] for this event and they’ve been speaking with them on a daily basis and were told that they could not bring it into the capitol grounds because it was an explosive device.”

“We’re not allowed to do that but they [Descendants of Confederate Veterans] are,” she added. “Now granted, they’ve been doing this for a long time, but it’s BS that the DPS makes its own rules.”

A state trooper confirmed that every year on Jan. 19, the Descendants of Confederate Veterans fire their rifles outside the capitol.

“This is Confederate Heroes’ Day and Robert E. Lee’s birthday, so they get permission from the State Preservation Board to do this little ceremony every year,” he said.

“We’re not just going to be waiting for legislation in order to make sure that we’re providing Americans the kind of help they need. I’ve got a pen and I’ve got a phone,” Obama said.

“And I can use that pen to sign executive orders and take executive actions and administrative actions that move the ball forward in helping to make sure our kids are getting the best education possible, making sure that our businesses are getting the kind of support and help they need to grow and advance, to make sure that people are getting the skills that they need to get those jobs that our businesses are creating.”

Since that time, the Supreme Court has ruled executive orders may not be used to make law, only execute laws passed by Congress. From Woodrow Wilson and Franklin Roosevelt onward, however, presidents have signed a large number of increasingly audacious and unconstitutional executive orders.

Republicans, looking for partisan ammo to attack a Democrat president, will undoubtedly criticize Obama’s latest constitutional affront. Executive orders and the gradual evolvement of

the imperial presidency is not limited to Democrats, however.

The Constitution stands between the global elite and their plan to reduce America to an economic and cultural ruin. Natural rights and individual sovereignty are intractable obstacles and must be destroyed if a one world totalitarian government is to be realized.

Obama’s latest comments on the plan to impose executive decrees – as usual,

for the sake of the children – sets the stage for the next phase of dictatorial government and the dismantlement of the Constitution and its relegation to the dustbin of history.

n elderly, deaf Oklahoma man was beaten by two highway patrol troopers earlier this month for allegedly refusing to comply during a traffic stop. According to reports, 64-year-old Pearl Pearson left the scene of a minor automobile accident before being pulled over by Oklahoma Highway Patrol troopers on January 3.

After issuing several vocal commands from their police vehicle, troopers claim Pearson refused to show his hands. Despite a large placard on his driver’s door stating, “Driver is deaf,” Pearson claims troopers immediately began hitting his face as he attempted to show his ID, which also states that he is hearing-impaired.

After a seven-minute altercation, Pearson was arrested and charged with resisting arrest and leaving the scene of an accident. According to Pearson, he was denied an interpreter for the entire duration of his detainment in and out of jail.

“Not during the booking, hospital, or time at the jail was an interpreter provided, even though Pearl requested one,” a statement reads.

Another statement on PearlPearson.com reveals that Pearson has several family members in law enforcement, making it seem highly unlikely that Pearson would cause issues for police.

“Pearl’s own son is a police officer, as was his son-in-law, who is now a deputy sheriff. He respects law enforcement and knows how to respond when pulled over. There is no reason for someone like Pearl to be hurt like this by those who are meant to protect and serve,” the statement reads.

Sacia Law, Pearson’s next-door neighbor, also agreed that there must have been a major misunderstanding during the traffic stop.

Pearson is now receiving financial help from the Total Source for Hearing-Loss and Access group, an agency which provides assistance to the deaf and hard-of-hearing. A benefit dinner has been scheduled for Thursday, January 16 at the Garnett Assembly of God church in Tulsa from 5-7 p.m.

f you want to get an idea of where the rest of America is heading, just take a trip through the western half of West Virginia and the eastern half of Kentucky some time. Once you leave the main highways, you will rapidly encounter poverty on a level that is absolutely staggering.

Overall, about 15 percent of the entire nation is under the poverty line, but in some areas of eastern Kentucky, more than 40 percent of the population is living in poverty. Most of the people would work if they could.

Williamson Thinking about the future here and its bleak prospects is not much fun at all, so instead of too much blackminded introspection you have the pills and the dope, the morning beers, the endless scratch-off lotto cards, healing meetings up on the hill, the federally funded ritual of trading cases of food-stamp Pepsi for packs of Kentucky’s Best cigarettes and good old hard currency,

tall piles of gas-station nachos, the occasional blast of meth, Narcotics Anonymous meetings, petty crime, the draw, the recreational making and surgical unmaking of teenaged mothers, and death: Life expectancies are short — the typical man here dies well over a decade earlier

Most of those that live in the heart of Appalachia are really good “salt of the earth” people that just want to work hard and do what is right for their families. than does a man in Fairfax County, Va. — and they are getting shorter, women’s life expectancy having declined by nearly 1.1 percent from 1987 to 2007.

In these kinds of conditions, people do whatever they have to do just to survive. With so much poverty around, serving those on food stamps has become an important part of the local economy. In fact, cases of soda purchased with food stamps have become a form of “alternative currency” in the region. In his article, Williamson described how this works…

It works like this: Once a month, the debit-card accounts of those

receiving what we still call food stamps are credited with a few hundred dollars — about $500 for a family of four, on average — which are immediately converted into a unit of exchange, in this case cases of soda. On the day when accounts are credited, local establishments accepting EBT cards — and all across the Big White Ghetto, “We Accept Food Stamps” is the new E pluribus unum–are swamped with locals using their public benefits to buy cases and cases — reports put the number at 30 to 40 cases for some buyers — of soda. Those cases of soda then either go on to another retailer, who buys them at 50 cents on the dollar, in effect laundering those $500 in monthly benefits into $250 in cash — a considerably worse rate than your typical organized-crime money launderer offers — or else they go into the local black-market economy, where they can be used as currency in such ventures as the dealing of unauthorized prescription painkillers — by “pillbillies,” as they are known at the sympathetic establishments in Florida that do so much business with Kentucky and West Virginia that the relevant interstate bus service is nicknamed the “OxyContin Express.” A woman who is intimately familiar with the local drug economy suggests that the exchange rate between sexual favors and cases of pop — some dealers will accept either — is about 1:1, meaning that the value of a woman in the local prescription-drug economy is about $12.99 at Walmart prices.

illegal drugs is significantly higher than in the U.S. population as a whole. In a desperate attempt to deal with the pain of their lives, many people living in the region are looking for anything that will allow them to “escape” for a little while. The following is an excerpt from an excellent article by Chris Hedges which describes what life is like in the little town of Gary, West Virginia at this point: Joe and I are sitting in the Tug River Health Clinic in Gary with a registered nurse who does not want her name used. The clinic handles federal and state black lung applications. It runs a program for those addicted to prescription pills. It also handles what in the local vernacular is known as “the crazy check” — payments obtained for mental illness from Medicaid or SSI — a vital source of income for those whose five years of welfare payments have run out. Doctors willing to diagnose a patient as mentally ill are important to economic survival.

“They come in and want to be diagnosed as soon as they can for the crazy check,” the nurse says.

“They will insist to us they are crazy. They will tell us, ‘I know I’m not right.’ People here are very resigned. They will avoid working by being diagnosed as crazy.”

The reliance on government checks, and a vast array of painkillers and opiates, has turned towns like Gary into modern opium dens.

The painkillers OxyContin, fentanyl — 80 times stronger than morphine — Lortab, as well as a wide variety of anti-anxiety medications such as Xanax, are widely abused. Many top off their daily cocktail of painkillers at night with sleeping pills and muscle relaxants.

which they combine their pills in a bowl, scoop out handfuls of medication, swallow them, and wait to feel the result.

Of course this kind of thing is not just happening in the heart of Appalachia. All over the country there are rural communities that are economically depressed. In fact, according to the Wall Street Journal, economic activity in about half of the counties in the entire nation is still below pre-recession levels…

About half of the nation’s 3,069 county economies are still short of their pre-recession economic output, reflecting the uneven economic recovery, according to a new report from the National Association of Counties.

So what are our “leaders” doing to fix this?

Well, they plan to ship millions more of our good jobs overseas.

Unfortunately, I am not kidding.

Republicans in the House of Representatives are introducing “fast track” trade promotion authority legislation that will pave the way for rapid approval of the secret trade treaty that Barack Obama has been negotiating. The following is how I described this insidious treaty in a previous article: Did you know that the Obama administration is negotiating a super secret “trade agreement” that is so sensitive that he isn’t even allowing members of Congress to see it? The Trans-Pacific Partnership is being called the “NAFTA of the Pacific” and “NAFTA on steroids,” but the truth is that it is so much more than just a trade agreement. This treaty has 29 chapters, but only 5 of them have to do with trade. Most Americans don’t realize this, but this treaty will fundamentally change our laws regarding Internet free-

dom, health care, the trading of derivatives, copyright issues, food safety, environmental standards, civil liberties and so much more. It will also merge the United States far more deeply into the emerging one world economic system.

Once again, our politicians are betraying the American people and millions of jobs will be lost as a result.

Not that the economy needs another reason to go downhill.

The truth is that our economic foundations have already been rotting away for quite some time.

But now the ongoing economic collapse seems to be picking up

steam again. For example, the Baltic Dry Index (a very important indicator of global economic activity) is collapsing at a rate not seen since the great financial crash of 2008…

Despite ‘blaming’ the drop in the cost of dry bulk shipping on Colombian coal restrictions, it seems increasingly clear that the 40% collapse in the Baltic Dry Index since the start of the year is more than just that. While this is the worst start to a year in over 30 years, the scale of this meltdown is only matched by the total devastation that occurred in Q3 2008.

Of course, the mainstream media

will continue to ignore this dour index until it decides to rise once again, but for now, 9 days in a row of plunging prices is yet another canary in the global trade coalmine and suggests what inventory stacking that occurred in Q3/4 2013 is anything but sustained.

Soon economic conditions will get even worse for Appalachia and for the rest of the country. The consequences of decades of very foolish decisions are rapidly catching up with us, and millions upon millions of Americans are going to experience immense economic pain during the years to come.
