Mayor Welcome to ALPHARETTA!

Over the last 165 years this charming community nestled 15 miles north of Atlanta has grown from a tiny trading post to the bustling technology hub you see today. A world class city with extraordinary shopping, dining, and hotel destinations nestled among quiet, public green spaces, parks, and trail networks.

If you plan to stay in Alpharetta for more than a few days, we hope you will make the time to explore all we have to offer. Our newly invigorated downtown area is packed with charming restaurants, shops, and parks and is home to several of our largest churches. It is a place where people come together to create a community with special events nearly every week and something to do every night.

This year’s Guidebook, provided by the Alpharetta Business Association and the Alpharetta Convention & Visitors Bureau, gives you a roadmap for all things Alpharetta. Inside you’ll find information you can use about our city whether you are here to work, play or make it your home!
