Find your way to great taste
Do you feel like food is one of the most important ingredients in a good trip? Do you think that the best souvenir is the one that tastes good? Then you are exactly like us.
The Coastal Land has some of the country's best and fattest soil and therefore perfect conditions for food production, food experiences and enjoyment of life. We have rain and wind in appropriate amounts, but also more hours of sunshine and milder climate than most other places in Denmark. Here are forest, beach and fields, lakes and streams, mansions, and small, cosy towns, with harbours and sea views - the perfect setting for gastronomic surprises. Let our food map guide you – in true farm-to-fork-style.
You will find small and large producers that make a living from growing, developing, using, selling and enjoying the delicious food that is grown all over The Coastal Land. You often get the opportunity to look behind the curtain and learn about the produce and dedication of the craft. It can be the perfect way to combine, for example, a biking holiday with exquisite taste experiences. Go on a tour of a winery, visit a mill, follow the production of beer and smoked salt, or hop into a pair of waders and go a seaweed safari. Perhaps bring an empty basket to fill with delicacies. And some glasses and plates, a cutting board, and a sharp knife – if it is to be an exceptionally delicious day. Happy hunting for your taste buds!
