Neverland in the Memory Time passes very quickly as people age. Everyday experience are new experiences for young people and therefore it remains vivid in their memory. However, for older, middle-aged people, everyday is a mundane, endless repetitive routine. Nothing is new, and nothing is special. Due to this mundane cycle, people start to lose the ability to keep time.

What am I doing now? What am I going though? Am I creating enough special memories? Each individual should have had or may be going through a time of challenge in their life where they have worked hard to attain their goal.

Through this artwork, I would like to bring people back to the fairy tale Neverlands where the world was filled with dreamless adventures and twinkling small fairies. By thinking of their Neverland times, people will be able to reflect back upon their time and the people that have helped them overcome hardships, whether it was family or friends. And by doing so, people will be able to face new challenges, and live another exciting new life.

For Him and Her maximizes the multiple functions of furniture. A table, a bookstand, a light and chairs are compactly combined into the set of furniture, undertaking each function comprehensively. This piece also conveys the communication between two people. It can give the separate space for each of two users to obtain the privacy for reading and speculations and the sharing moment for both to feel the bond through interaction and mutual understanding. Moreover, when touched, the touch-sensor embedded in the lamp controls three degrees of the brightness depending on the user’s intention.

for Him 2005 Depending on the type and shape of One(the Furniture), the actions and thoughts of One(the Person) are influenced. For example, with a new piece of furniture One’s(the Person’s) actions and day-to-day routine is changed in one way or another. Sitting comfortably, the lights on, a book positioned within easy reach on a table... In that small sphere of space one feels at ease as if nothing else were more natural. On the day he came to me, a little craving if mine was satiated.

Cell (Steel Furniture Design Contest / Grand Prize) 940x400x400(mm) _ stainless steel, EVA _ 1999 The dynamic scene of furniture manufacturing studio inspired me to generate this bench. It is a system bench comple ted through unified operating process (cutting-punching-press breaking-bending). The repetition of each unit compos es connectional bench system. The connected two stools create a small hole to hold a vase to include natural quality.
