Synergy, Architecture and Landscape in the work of RCR constitutes a critical investigation of the work of the architectural studio formed by Rafael Aranda, Carme Pigem and Ramón Vilalta. Based on the visit of several projects and interventions located in the region of the Natural Park of the Volcanic Zone of La Garrotxa this study analyses their relationship with the landscape.
As the narrative of the case studies is developed - grouped into 4 main blocks, the Barberí Space, the Bell-Lloc Wineries, five projects in the public and natural space of Olot and two of the interventions in Les Cols - a parallel investigation will be carried out relating to different aspects that shape the philosophy of the atelier, determining the nature and mechanisms of relationship that are established between their architecture and the landscape.
