Marge. the rough’n lovely serif typeface
disclaimĂŤr
This typeface was developed in just one week! It is a work in progress.
Marge is edgy and highly legible even at very small sizes. It is conceived for texts. Comfortable to read even on lower quality paper, Marge is an excellent type for newspapers, letters, and stamps. It is inspired by the characteristic breaks resulting from calligraphic strokes and the stability of slab-serif typefaces. Marge features subtle details, breaks, and curves, which also make it suitable for striking headlines. As the charachter of Marge Simpson, this typeface has a rough “voice” and an unmistakable “haircut.”

Special characters are included as an added bonus, for Marge’s die-hard fans.
Why Marge does not need gaping inktraps. Marge might seem very linear, but she has subtle curves, which not only make her appear more feminine, but also help her deal with issues of inktraps, and maximize white space within the letter shapes.
Round on the outside, rough on the inside. The details are what sets Marge apart from many other typefaces. Marge has been designed with legibility in mind. The upper halves of problematic letters have been given unique shapes.

Maßive card (parantheses) with some style*, but what can we say? This “typeface” is still a work in progress – no kidding – it is missing quite a few glyphs; these will be added with time.
