Hi there! I’m Talia, owner of La Petite Beaderie Jewelry & Craft Supplies and founder of La Belle Piece Handmade Jewelry & Gifts. What exactly is La Belle Piece? It’s a collective of amazingly talented artisans who are passionate about their craft and want to share it with the world. As a designer myself, I know how important it is to support the handmade industry and the individuals that contribute to the movement. The handmade industry is wildly growing, and these creative, one-of-akind women produce one-of-a-kind pieces for you to treasure for yourself or as a gift from the heart. I’d like to take this opportunity to introduce our featured artist of the week, my very dear friend, Ms. Anika Braxton of Joy-Ani Designs! She’s a remarkable talent that never ceases to amaze me with not only her creations but also her kind heart. Featured Designer: Anika Braxton of Joy-Ani Designs Anika Braxton, owner and designer of Joy-Ani Designs, seemed almost destined for life as a jewelry designer. She developed a passion for accessorizing at a young age and began creating her own unique pieces. With a vast inheritance of jewelrymaking supplies from a beloved aunt and fellow jewelry designer, the dream of JoyAni Designs became a reality. Anika has been working diligently for many years to perfect her stunning beadwork and wire-weaving and it certainly shows in her nomination as a wire-weaving oneto-watch. Her latest jewelry adventure is a collection of components inspired by the traditional Japanese art Mokume Gane, an ancient metal layering technique.
