Hi there! I’m Talia, owner of La Petite Beaderie Jewelry & Craft Supplies and founder of La Belle Piece Handmade Jewelry & Gifts. La Belle Piece is a collective of amazingly talented artisans and designers who are passionate about their craft and want to share it with the world. Planning a wedding can be fun, overwhelming, exciting, stressful and just about every other emotion defined in the dictionary. And get ready, because everyone will be happy to offer you advice about how to do it, from magazines (including this one!) to family to friends to strangers in the bridal shop. The best piece of advice I receive when planning my own was from my mother. She told me as long as the two of you show up in front the officiator at roughly the same time, it will be perfect. At that moment, the stress disappeared and the fun began because I realized that, literally, at the heart of it all, it was just the two of us. It was one of the best days of our lives. With our Wedding Issue, we'd like ease your stress a bit and help you find the perfect accessory with an amazing array of wonderful one-of-a-kind pieces. I would also like to introduce our Featured Designer of the Week, Ms. Anita Brodnax, a wonderful and talented woman, and the designer behind Eclectic Chic Jewelry Designs! I've had the sincere pleasure of getting to know Anita over the past several months. She has an exceptional eye when it comes to design, as you will see in her feature, starting on page 3. 10 Ways to... Make Your Big Day Extra Special 1) Remember that this is a celebration of the two of you joining together. As long as the two of you are in front of the officiator, it's a perfect wedding. 2) If someone that is near to your heart, or your partners', that has passed on, save them a seat. Have your favorite photo of them framed, and place it on a seat in the audience. 3) Have an engagement photo enlarged and framed with ample matting for guests to sign and write wellwishes. 4) Proposal on a mountain top? Took a trip to Napa? Choose a cake topper to resemble something that has special meaning to the both of you. 5) Use a vintage brooch from a beloved elder to add a special touch to your dress or bouquet. 6) Have cosmetics bags embroidered with your bridesmaids' names and the date of your wedding. 7) Lots of kids in the family?
