tion

“Systematic Proposition” is a way of depicting architecture, a philosophy that allows me to understand and clarify the processes of design. It occurs in the most organized way, finding clear strategies to outsmart the politics. However its results produce the most complex compound of ideas. Somehow a genetic code of law and order can be found in the most complex cases of obscure architecture, underlying a path towards “a” communication. Making its existence dependent to be tuned to structural frequencies, those determents the “discourse of academia” and the “profession”.

Developed out the programmatic constrains and opportunities of the Solar Decathlon competition 2013 FReD is all about the systematic propositions of deployment, shipment, free spirit, and movement.

Rampart is the good guy! The project looks into how to reduce the footprint for the industrial site of the pot of Los Angeles.

The partition of space in time informs of how to take advantage of the street by separating the buildings from the ground. Parto will make more space for the future city.

FReD folding residential educational deployment

1- FReD ( Folding residential educational deployment) is a proposition for the Solar Decathlon completion. Its contribution lives to the highest standards of deployment, flexible living, open plan, and seamless internal space partition. The problem was to design for the most amount of square footage but to ship using the less amount of square footage. The solution was for side volumes to fold in and out, like a transformer’s. Taking into consideration the dimensions and aspects of a goose neck trailer FReD molds itself to this technology to make space the most of its internal volume. Folding enables the single trailer transport while also

enabling a way to break up pragmatic functions of a typical home. The purpose was to have a house that would deploy fast. Defines and Offsets Program Spaces while Maintain the feel of a larger continuous space. Folding allows placing both the core and the foldouts at the same level, in other words no step transition between the core and foldouts. Quality of Construction and rigid frame enable longevity which would be paramount. Materials and finishes are primarily Solid quality nature wood finishes and exposed stainless steel surfaces, both of which are durable long lasting and require minimal maintenance. Exterior over expressed PV Glazing and thermal tubes can be an iconic figure that represents Solar

rampart 1- “The land and health recall” is a proposition to contain in strategic locations the entire infrastructure of the port of Los Angeles. We need to contain the mass spread of human recourses that are currently impacting the environment that we live in. The port of Los Angeles is a clear example of 19th century industrial modus operandi still in use today. Over the years the system has shown that its one not too well figured out, it thrives on the expansionist notion of growing outwards to please the demand of the global economy. The aim it’s to use technology to minimize industrial footprint reducing its network to less than 50 percent and to provide the land to the community. Rampart is the eminent technology that will resolve all the infrastructural problems that we are facing today and could face tomorrow.

The system specializes in manufacturing, shipping, and containment of the systems and programs currently found on site. Rampart contributes to its own industry by manufacturing the vehicle that will connect it with the rest of the world, in addition to handle the 21st century and future expansion of containerization.

PARTO


PARTO 1- Parto is a partition of space. The scheme looks in how to double the footprint of the buildings by lifting 70 percent of the base of the building. The incident of overlapping allows for a public reclamation of space, activating the street as well as the buildings. As a result the space beneath the buildings becomes a public underworld and the birth to a new commercial, social, and community oriented society. In contemporary cities the idea of the tower resolves the problem of denaziďŹ cation, is the most efďŹ cient way of packing people in the least amount of square footage. But by installing the towers directly

on the ground and so tight together this denies the possibility of the full use of the ground. Parto is located in West Hollywood and will be the inspiration and exemplar for future cities. As our networks become more saturated with numbers of cars, people, etc we will have to look at ways to improve the way we move around our cities.

MarpH 1- The fort of the west, Marph is a curios volumetric proposition that protects all the visceral private elements of the dwelling by placing solid volumes on the outer peripheries in order to keep the center protected. The possibility of the street as an engagement is denied by cancelling the visual extension from the street. The dwelling is cladded with metal panels that have minimal fenestration. The tower element allows the users the possibility of higher grounds to maximize the survival instinct.

The flexibility of the internal space allows its user to configure and adapt the house to various needs, a total of 1000 square feet of open floor plan. The task at hand addressed by the (CD) construction documents class was to elaborate a full set of construction documents.
