Casino Resorts

Hover your mobile camera over the QR code to check out golf opportunities in Southwest Louisiana.

When the warm, fragrant summer breezes arise, it’s playtime in lazy rivers and outdoor pools at Golden Nugget Casino Resort, L’Auberge Casino Resort, and Delta Downs Racetrack Casino Hotel. When you walk through the majestic entrance of L’Auberge, to the right, the L Bar awaits with muted greens and blues mixed in with brass creating a calming sensation – the perfect place to enjoy a specialty cocktail, fine wine, craft beer or an old favorite. Other amenities include a lazy river and lounging areas outside in the tropical oasis environment with a swim-up bar. Meanwhile, the serene adults-only pool offers luxurious cabanas and full-bar service. You can also sign up for a deep dive into luxury with a spa day at Spa du Lac! For dining, Ember Grille & Wine Bar is always on point with its upscale atmosphere and exquisite dishes, and you can choose from a variety of other restaurants as well from Favorites Southern Kitchen, Asia, Modern Pantry, or the Barstools Sportsbook experience for sports betting. Nearby, you can walk outside to the boardwalk area and stroll along the lake to Golden Nugget Lake Charles.

The Golden Nugget’s bright reds and golds contrast with the more Texas Hill Country experience at L’Auberge. The glitz of Las Vegas stands out with flowy bubble chandeliers reminiscent of champagne dancing on the ceiling. Golden Nugget boasts all Landry’s restaurants throughout the property. There is no shortage of delicious food at every turn. The darling restaurant is Vic & Anthony’s where people can celebrate special occasions and enjoy an extensive wine list. A variety of restaurants are sprinkled throughout the property: Bill’s Bar & Burger on the beach, Chart House, Grotto, Landry’s Seafood House, Lillie’s Asian Cuisine, Cadillac Mexican Kitchen & Tequila Bar, and Saltgrass Steakhouse. On the west side of the parish, Delta Downs Racetrack Casino & Hotel adds its unique flavor to the gaming scene in the Lake Charles area. While the property features Rosewater Grill & Tavern with signature cocktails, steaks

Area 337 A Latino Kitchen

EVERYONE IS WELCOME TO PLAY! Do you know the best part about Louisiana’s Playground? The people who are here, waiting to welcome you with open arms – on the playground! I’m sure you’ve run into people who seem like they have “never met a stranger.” Well, that’s the feeling that the people of Southwest Louisiana give to everyone who is here to experience our culture, traditions, and steaming pots of gumbo! Southwest Louisiana is a blend of diverse cultures with roots that run deep and intertwine with a variety of backgrounds and traditions, and we love to treat everyone like family. We are all one people in Southwest Louisiana, and we make room for everyone at the table!

The melting pot of traditions comes from the span of Southwest Louisiana in No Man’s Land after the Louisiana Purchase with influences from Cajuns, Creoles, Africans, native Attakapas, Spanish, French, a variety of European settlers, and the busy ports and waterways that brought activity into the area. Family trees are built from this blend of people, and the diversity that we share is more than something that we appreciate in one another. It’s who we are.

Sulphur, and family-owned restaurants serving Thai, Chinese, Greek, Indian, and Italian fare. You can also celebrate it at our many festivals throughout the year with Cajun Food & Music Festival, Juneteenth Freedom Festival, or the MLK Festival of Southwest Louisiana. Throw in Cajun and Zydeco music, and you have taken the party to another level! We’re glad you’re here to be part of our story because everyone is welcome to play in Louisiana’s Playground!

The good news is that you get to experience it! Enjoy tasting the cultural flavors of Cajun cooking at places like Seafood Palace or Hollier’s Cajun Kitchen, or Creole and soul food at Famous Foods, Ju’Elles Café, or Mama Reta’s. Not to mention Latino cuisine at Area 337, Mexican food at La Rumba, Sake Japanese House in

CULTURAL EXPERIENCES + MUSIC Louisiana’s Playground has a rich arts and culture scene with vibrant artists and talented musicians that add to the vibe of the city.

Everywhere you go in downtown Lake Charles, you can see murals, check out local art on display in businesses or in the streets during festivals and events. Likewise, music is the heartbeat of culture in Louisiana. We love to dance and celebrate life with our special flavor of “joie de vivre” or joy of living.
