Louisiana Bayou Bread Pudding Recipe

Adding a little splash of Spiced Bayou Rum to this recipe will truly give your guests a taste of Southwest Louisiana as they savor the flavors!

Ingredients

BREAD PUDDING INGREDIENTS

• 15 oz. white sandwich bread

• 3½ cups skim milk

• 2½ cups sugar

• 5 eggs

• 2 Tbsp. vanilla extract

BAYOU SPICED RUM SAUCE INGREDIENTS

• ½ lb. butter

• 1 cup sugar

• 1 egg

• ¼ cup Bayou Spiced Rum

Instructions

BREAD PUDDING

1. Preheat oven to 350°. 2. Spray a 13x9-inch baking pan with cooking spray. 3. In a large bowl, tear bread slices into small pieces.

4. Add milk, sugar, eggs, and vanilla, and stir until well combined.

5. Pour mixture into prepared pan. Let come to room temperature, about 45 minutes.

6. Bake until puffed up and golden brown, about 45 min.

BAYOU SPICED RUM SAUCE

1. Cream butter and sugar in mixer at high speed until light and creamy.

2. At low speed, add egg and mix until blended.

3. add rum and mix until blended.

4. Mix on high for 2 to 3 minutes until light and fluffy. Serve atop the bread pudding.
