Lake Country holds some of Wisconsin’s most desired lakes. People from around the state and parts of Illinois flock to the region in the summers for boating, fishing and relaxing to enjoy area festivities in area towns like Pewaukee, Oconomowoc, Hartland, Delafield; to name a few. Winters in Lake Country are popular for ice fishing, snowmobiling, iceboating, skiing, cross-country skiing and snowshoeing. In 2020, the average price of lake homes in the area increased by 31%, making the average sale price just over 1.4. The total number of lake homes sold increased by 23%. We believe the number of lake homes sold will decrease in 2021 due to lack of inventory but the average selling price will increase with low inventory and high demand. Buyers will continue to face more competition and have to act more quickly and be creative to snag their dream home.
