If you love the game Minecraft but always wanted to design your own characters and buildings for your games, this class is for you! Learn the basics of creating 3-D models using a new software to design your very own objects, create skins for characters, and import them into your favorite Minecraft games. To access their project at home, students must own a PC/MAC version of Minecraft. Tablet, phone and game console versions of Minecraft are not compatible. A parent email address is required to use 3-D modeling software. Students will work in teams for most of the program.

Exploring Art
Boys and girls spend each morning this week exploring art, cooking and science. Mrs. Anderson, an Illinois certified teacher, designed this for you. You will have the opportunity to use your creative nature with other budding artists. Try your hand at watercolor, card making, floral design, jewelry design and more. You will also be a chef and create delicious treats without cooking. Recipes include fruit spears, ham rollups, bug cookies and other surprises. Have a hands-on adventure involving rocks and minerals, volcanoes, birds, and building a bird feeder, plus more. Artists will join together to create art pieces made with yarn, beading, painting and multi-media. We will especially explore nature as objects of artistic interpretation. Art as therapy will be enhanced as we share daily snacks. Together we will design useful photo cards.
