Technology Division
Faculty: Lake Land College faculty care about their students. They are experts in their fields and take a vested interest in making sure students gain the experiences they need to be successful. Class Size: With an average size of about 14, students have personalized college experiences. Students really get to know their teachers and classmates. Textbook Rental: Students save about $1,700 a year with the textbook rental system. Campus: Built on 317 partially-wooded acres, Lake Land’s campus is beautiful! The campus also hosts 10 instructional buildings and several support buildings. Safety: Lake Land College is one of the safest campuses in Illinois. The Lake Land College Police Department patrols campus 24 hours a day, seven days a week and provides a safe environment.

Graduates of the Lake Land College Technology Division are already a step ahead of their peers when it comes to finding a job. Why? Because they have the experience employers ask about in interviews.
Real-World Experience The education students receive in this program extends beyond the classroom. Students complete SOEs, or Supervised Occupational Experiences, at area businesses. Similar to internships, students work under the supervision of a professional fine-tuning their technical skills and gaining valuable work experience to put them ahead in the job market.
State-of-the-art Equipment
Many colleges talk about state-of-the-art technology, and Lake Land College has it. HVAC, computers, PLCs , pneumatic controls, welding, CNC machines, electronics labs and automotive diagnostic tools are all equipment that can be found in the technology field.

Living Laboratories
Lake Land College technology students also live with a sustainability program. With a living laboratory including four wind turbines, photovoltaic panels, daylight harvesting, solar, geothermal and an electric powered Volkswagen, Lake Land students interact with the renewable energy equipment that is supplying Lake Land College’s energy needs.
Manufacturing Boom
