From then to now


It all started with a demonstration farm in 1911

The farm manager’s house is an original still on campus.

Today it’s Vermilion Alumni House.


VSA opened in late October for students. Official opening Nov 17, 1913.


VSA got a dorm building back in 1928. It became Alumni Hall


It was destroyed by fire in October 1985. The new Alumni Hall’s front façade echoes the original building.


Agriculture is at our roots, and still thrives today. Tools are different

Mechanics


The Mechanics Building was once the CWAC drill hall. The new Trades Centre opened in 1985


Home economics diverged and became textiles and eventually interior design technolgoy
