HOW TO CREATE A GED® ACCOUNT
1. Go to
and then click Don’t have an account? Create one.
2. Enter your email address twice and create a password. Then, click on create an account.
3. Add contact information to your account. Enter your first name, middle name (optional), last name and date of birth. You’ll also add your mailing address.
4. Read and accept the Terms and Conditions
5. Answer location specific questions
a. If you have an Alberta Student Number, enter it now. Click continue and move on to step #6
b. If you do not have an Alberta Student Number (ASN) or if you have attended any school in Alberta and do not know you ASN, please follow these steps: • First, click on the click here text.
• click Find or Apply for Your ASN
• Choose the option that applies to you: * If you have attended school in Alberta
Or, contact your school to help you find one of these documents.
c. If you are a mature student and have never attended school in Alberta, please contact student records by email studentrecords@gov.ab.ca or call 780.422.9337.
6. Testing Accomodations
You’ll be asked if you need test accomodations, for example if you have a learning disabillity or impaired vision. To qualify you will need to provide supporting documentation.
• If you say yes to the accommodations question you won’t be able to schedule tests right away. First submit your documentation. Then, the accommodation team will review your request. • If you say no to the accommodations question it will take you to the GED® Dashboard - your home screen (see below)
7. You have successfully created your account. Make sure to record your username and password somewhere secure. 8. Now Schedule your test. Use either the schedule tile or Schedule Test on the navigation bar.
