Desire to Learn (D2L) Brightspace is a learning management platform. Around Lakeland, we call it D2L.
For you, it’s your main source of course content, communication with your instructor and assignments.
You’ll also discover what we call learner success resources as well department handbooks, a calendar and even an exam schedule
You can access D2L by:
• Using the log-in you’ll find in the Lakeland College website from your computer or laptop [or the box above]
• Using the browser on your mobile device (tablet or phone)
• Downloading the Brightspace Pulse app from the Apple or Google store
However you choose to go to D2L Brightspace, you’ll log in with your EDU email account.
Respondus Lockdown Browser
New for Fall 2025, is Respondus Lockdown browser. It may be used for online exams in D2L.
Your instructor will let you know if they plan to use it in your class.
To be ready, install the software early, so you don’t have another stress before exams start.
LAKELAND EDU ACCOUNT
You’ll use the Microsoft Office portal to not only to access your Lakeland College email account but also Microsoft Office software as well as D2L.
Your EDU account is more than just email. You also get 5 free installs of MS Office 365 as long as you are a student at Lakeland
