CATERING POLICIES
EVENT PLANNING
To ensure the proper planning of your event, we request that all food and beverage orders and special requirements be received a minimum of 7 business days before your event, and sent to event.services@lakelandcollege.ca
CONFIRMATION OF ORDERS
Upon receipt of all food and beverage orders, an Event Service professional will review and provide you with a function sheet for your signature to confirm and approve the order.
1. To ensure the success of our client’s events, please note the following regarding guarantees:
2. Guarantees are required 3 business days before your event by 2 pm
3. Guarantees for Monday and Tuesday events are required the Thursday before by 2 pm
4. Guarantees for Wednesday events are required the Friday before by 2 pm
5. For events with 300 or more guests, guarantees are required 7 business days before the event.
6. Food guarantees may not be decreased once they are received.
7. Increases to food guarantees: every attempt will be made to accommodate an increase to the guarantee. A comparable substitution maybe offered due to limited supply of original selections or lack of time for supplies to come in.
8. Billings are based on the guarantee or the actual, whichever is higher.
9. Written confirmation of the catering order is required to confirm your booking.
DIETARY RESTRICTIONS
We will do our best to accommodate any dietary restrictions that may arise during the planning of our event. Please notify our coordinators when you are booking your catering. Dietary restrictions are due at the time of the final guarantee.
Depending on the number and nature of these restrictions, additional charges may apply. Please note that our kitchen is not a nut-free environment.
CANCELLATION POLICY
Cancellation of any orders or functions must be sent in writing to event.services@lakelandcollege.ca . If the cancellation is received after the final guarantee is due, 100% of food charges will apply and other charges for beverages and staff may apply.
CUSTOM MENUS OR THEMED EVENTS
Our Catering professionals are pleased to work with you on custom menus and themed events.
MENU MINIMUMS AND CHARGES
Menu minimums are specified throughout the menu. Please call our office to discuss options for smaller events under 20 people.
Children between 2-10 years of age will be charged half price on buffets and children under the age of 2 will not be charged.
DELIVERY CHARGES
Delivery requiring a vehicle will be subject to the vehicle charge.
PRICES AND GURANTEES
Prices are subject to change without notice but will be guaranteed 30 days prior to the function. All catering orders will be subject to 5% GST.
PAYMENT INFORMATION
Event Services accepts cash, cheques, MasterCard & Visa.
Any incidentals or additional charges will be processed immediately following the event.
PERISHABLE FOOD POLICY
In accordance with Alberta Health Services Food Safety Regulations, no food may be removed from your event. Food Services does not provide take-away containers for leftover self-service foods.

SERVICE
All deliveries are served on disposable platters and include high grade disposable service (plates, cups etc.).
China service and linen are available for an additional fee, please inquire with Event Services.
Please note that certain menu items or large orders may require service staff to stay on site. Event Services will work with you to assess your order and inform you if charges will apply to keep service staff on site during your event.
Clients are responsible for ensuring access to the delivery destination, and that sufficient space is available for the setup of delivery orders. If you are unsure of your space requirements, please contact our office and we will be happy to assist you.
