Mountaintop Lodge Restoration Underway The Club continues its efforts to restore the Mountaintop Lodge to the level that our Platinum Club deserves. Being closed and completely shut down for almost three years has resulted in the formation of mold and deterioration of the plumbing systems that will cause a delay in our planned opening. The key to mold control is moisture control. Mold is present in every building, as well as outdoors. But without moisture, mold cannot grow to harmful levels. Fortunately the Club stepped in just in time and was able to limit the damage to surface mold. Once Northeastern Environmental Services of the Poconos eliminated the source of moisture in the basement, they immediately remediated the surface mold that blanketed the first floor of the Lodge. There has also been some vandalism, which, together with neglect, required us to repair significant parts of the plumbing system and the resulting damage to some floors and walls. While the Club is hoping to open earlier, the Mountaintop Lodge will definitely be ready by early May for housing the Seasonal Team Members, and the four executive cottages will be available for Club Members to house their overnight guests and for the Real Estate Agencies to house potential property owners. Member and non-member guests will be able to use the Lodge after Labor Day. After the start of the new year, the Club will begin booking private weddings and special events at the Mountaintop Lodge. Members who have held events at the Lodge prior to its closing still rave about that location as a venue for these special moments. We ask for your patience while we complete the above work and complete it in a way that represents the Lake Naomi Club. We are hoping by the Spring that we will all be able to enjoy this latest amenity. Kindly remember that while the Lodge is being rehabilitated, the Club respectfully requests that Members refrain from going there. This is an active construction site with all of the inherent risks. Stay tuned for further updates.

Lodge Task Force Established The Board of Trustees, in concert with the Board of Governors, has created a task force to guide the restoration and reopening of the Mountaintop Lodge. Retiring Trustee, Steve Harker, has agreed to be the Chair. The Lodge Task Force will help in making sure this new Club venture gets off to a proper start and that the Lodge integrates well with the rest of our Club culture. The Task Force will address: assuring the Lodge meets LN-TT platinum standards and expectations; event planning; establishing a marketing strategy; determining membership options for guests; partnering with the Real Estate Community; financial analysis and accountability, and other concerns. The Task Force will report to the membership, Board of Governors and Board of Trustees on a regular basis. Questions regarding the Task Force can be directed to General Manager Robert Jones via email (rjones@lakenaomiclub.com) or telephone (570 6469191, extension 112).

Gate for Parking Facility Club Maintenance Team Members are in the process of installing a gate on the new parking facility that was constructed across from the Lake Naomi Clubhouse. Because of the special porous pavement used for the lot and the negative impact ice control materials could have on the porous pavement, the Club will not be utilizing the new parking facility during the winter months. Thus gating the parking facility was part of the approval process with Tobyhanna Township. The Club also agreed to the requests from adjacent property owners to keep the gate closed during the season when the parking facility is not needed for events at Club Beach and the Lake Naomi Clubhouse.

Trustee Stephen J. Harker to Retire At the Board of Trustees meeting on November 5th, Steve Harker was honored for his nine years of service on the Board of Trustees. Steve will officially retire from the Board of Trustees effective December 31, 2011. During his time on the Board of Trustees, Steve served as Treasurer for three years and President for three years. Steve also served on the Board of Governors for four years, chairing the Finance Committee for three of those years. Rounding out Steve’s service to the Club was his five years as a member of the Lakes Committee where he enjoyed running the annual fly fishing clinic. As Treasurer of the Board of Trustees, Steve developed the financing plan for the Community Center Project. This financing plan has been adapted by a number of Large Planned Communities across the United States as the funding plan for large amenity projects undertaken by those Communities! Steve was also instrumental in the development of the Club’s Contingency Fund (used to finance cleanup of the Community after the catastrophic ice storm in 2005) as well as the Capital Enhancement Fund. Steve and his wife Linda have had a home in Lake Naomi and held Club Membership since 1994. When the Harkers aren’t spending time at Lake Naomi with their three children and nine grandchildren, they reside and are active community members in Gladwyne, PA.

Memorial Nears Completion A memorial in honor of Club Member Bruno DeCaro is nearing completion adjacent to the new Bicycle/Pedestrian Path at the Lake Naomi Spillway. After Bruno’s passing in 2009, a Memorial Fund was established in his memory. Once funds were received the Club worked to determine an appropriate memorial. Turns out Bruno was an avid bicyclist. So a number of Bruno’s friends suggested the Club create an area for “rest and reflection” adjacent to the new Bicycle/Pedestrian Path. With the further assistance of Contractors Richard Henry Construction and Mountain Landscaping, just such an area is nearing completion on the 940 side of the Bicycle/Pedestrian Bridge. The Club is waiting on the delivery of a second bench in order to complete the memorial. In the meantime Members have been observed resting and reflecting at the memorial. A formal dedication of the Bruno DeCaro Memorial will be held in the Spring of 2012.

Check your Listing in the Membership Directory The Membership Directory will be re-printed in its entirety in 2012. Teen and Young Adult Email Addresses Needed

The Club is planning to survey the teen and young adult (16 to 23 year old) population in early 2012. The Teen/Young Adult Survey will only be available electronically. Thus the Club needs your assistance. Members that have children or grandchildren in this age range that they would like to see participate in this survey, are requested to send the Club the email addresses of their teens and young adults at the earliest possible date. The email addresses can be emailed to the Club at: admin@LakeNaomiClub.com Your assistance will be appreciated, as the more input the Club can generate, the more meaningful and beneficial the survey will be.

To place an order call 570-646-2866 and don’t forget to program your cell phone so we can have dinner waiting for you on your next trip to Lake Naomi-Timber Trails . You can view the Curbside Cuisine Menu online at www.LakeNaomiClub.com (remember to click on Members in the right corner) under the Clubhouse Section.

Reservations Please Dinner reservations at the Lake Naomi Clubhouse are well advised. In order to accommodate as many Members as possible on Friday and Saturday nights in the Main Dining Room, reservations are highly recommended. Reservations assist in the planning and staffing process, ultimately providing a better dining experience. The Clubhouse Team will do their very best to accommodate Members who arrive without a reservation but please understand you may have to wait for an extended period. If you arrive without a reservation and are asked to wait and see empty tables, please understand those tables have been reserved for Members who called ahead and have not yet arrived. It is the goal of the Clubhouse Management Team to have every table filled with satisfied Members each and every evening.

Temporary Memberships Are Important The total number of families that subscribed to the Club’s Temporary Membership (TM) during the 2011 season was 786. Temporary Memberships for 2011 are projected to generate $290,800 in fees towards the annual operations budget by years end. Temporary Members are described as a family living on a temporary basis in the home of a Club Member when the Home Owner/Club Member is not present. This includes those renting homes as well as Family Members and Colleagues of Club Members utilizing homes without the Club Member being present. Temporary Memberships are very important to the Club as not only do Temporary Members generate a significant amount of revenue for the Club, but Temporary Members also represent the number two source of future Club Members. The number one source of future Club Members is through referrals from existing Club Members. Remember the Membershare Referral program was expanded to include Temporary Members. When your referral purchases their Temporary Membership, you will be rewarded 25 Club Dollars for each week your referral purchases their Temporary Membership with a maximum of 100 Club Dollars per referral. You will receive a stored value card that can be utilized toward your Membership Fees or used at any amenity. To qualify the person you refer must be totally new to the Lake Naomi Club and the referral card must be turned into the Administrative Office before the temporary membership is purchased. The Membership/Marketing Committee plans to continue its marketing efforts for Temporary Members, as once families see and experience the Lake Naomi and Timber Trails Community, the chances of their becoming a Property Owner/Club Member increases dramatically.

The Activities Committee News in Review

ACTIVITIES COMMITTEE CORNER

The first meeting of Lake Naomi’s recently formed Drama Club drew 20 people! Future gathering will be in the Logan Steele Community Center. All LNC members are invited to come out and join us in determining what direction the group will take. At the October 11th meeting, volunteers read parts in the melodrama, “No Opera in the Op’ry House Tonight” by Tim Kelly. Perhaps we will decide to run auditions for this or another play. Another idea is to work on a few one act plays or radio scripts and/or use monthly meetings to do readings just for our own entertainment. This group is having such fun! We hope many people will join us. Direct questions to Carol Ray (570-646-1454).

This was a very rewarding and busy year and the Activities Committee has had a great time putting everything together for your enjoyment. Again this fall and winter there will be two art classes which will continue to run throughout the year. It is a wonderful way for the people who are in the community to spend time together learning to become artists. Most of these students continue their lessons into the spring and summer. The second ‘inhouse’ Art Show took place at the LNCH in January which showcased the hard work and talent of these new artists. The enthusiasm was outstanding and the Committee is hoping to make this an annual event. In May the Committee sponsored the return of the ‘Three Tenors’ for a great night of music enjoyed by over 100 people. The Men’s Luncheon held in June featured soldiers from the US Army Reserves. The soldiers shared their experiences in today’s war and what it means for them to keep all of us safe at home. It was enjoyed by all! The LNC Ladies enjoyed an afternoon learning about the clothing and jewelry from the retro period, followed by lots of shopping at the Ladies Luncheon in July. The second annual ‘Lake Naomi - Timber Trails Fine Arts and Crafts Show’ was held in August and raised $6,025 for The Top of the Mountain Ecumenical Food Pantry. Carol Ray started the LNC Drama Club in October. Who knew there is so much talent in this community? In November we had our yearly ‘Casino Night’. Casino Night is truly a favorite! Thank you to the men and women who stepped forward to deal. We couldn’t do it without you! Also, under the auspices of this committee fall: Square Dancing, Food Bank, Library, Book Club, Mitten Tree, Card and Leisure Games, Weekly Bowling and the ‘Social Lites’ group. Our committee is always busy and we have fun working together and getting events together for everyone to enjoy. We have a lot on our calendar for 2012 and the Committee is already working hard on pulling all these fun things together. Trying to keep the Club Members happy and involved is the most important part of what this Committee hopes to accomplish. The Committee thanks the Club Members for the continued support and is always open to hearing new ideas. Carol Kehler

Food Bank Members of LN-TT can continue to bring their food donations to the Community Center through the Winter and Spring. Drop off your canned goods or non perishable food items during regular hours.

Lake Naomi – Timber Trails Spring Garage Sale The Activities Committee has been contacted by quite a few people in the Community to put together a garage sale for spring of 2012. It has been approved by the BOG so the Committee is now in the beginning stages of moving forward. The sale will be held on a Saturday in June and as of now the tentative date is June 23rd. It will be held off of the LNC property, at a site not yet determined, and will be open to the public. Winter is a great time to start cleaning your closets at both your LN-TT home and your “other” home. It should be a fun day and we can all start out with a clean house and clean closets for the summer of 2012. It will also mean a little money in everyone’s pockets to go and buy something from the third annual “Lake Naomi-Timber Trails Fine Arts and Crafts Show”. Another great project that is run by the Activities Committee! Remember: “One man’s trash is another man’s treasure!” 5

Association Assessments/Fees and Membership Packets Kindly note that a Membership change that was implemented in 2011 is being continued in 2012. In order for a Club Member to pick up their Membership packet beginning in early April, all Association assessments and fees, including 2012, must be paid in full. While this change only impacts a small number of Club Members, Members are requested to plan accordingly as there can be no exceptions.

Have We Got A Vacation Spot For You When you hear your colleagues at work, your neighbors and your friends talking about their summer vacations and the fact that they had to cut their vacation short due to beaches being closed as a result of pollution or that traffic was terrible or there was nothing for the kids to do but go to the boardwalk and spend money -- be sure to tell them that you have a great vacation spot for them in the Mountains of Northeastern Pennsylvania. People often book their vacation rentals early and many times go back to a less than satisfying location based on force of habit. It is not too early to plant the seed in order to have your colleagues, neighbors and friends spend their 2012 summer vacation at Lake Naomi - Timber Trails, the only Five Star Platinum Club Community in the Northeast. Be sure to tell them that Lake Naomi - Timber Trails has seven debris free sandy beaches and a whole lot more. Like fast-dry, soft surface tennis courts, a wonderful golf course, two swimming pools with water slides, the Kid’s Klub Camp Program, creative teen and preteen programs, adult activities, a Clubhouse-Restaurant, three lakes and two ponds, sailing, boating, windsurfing, canoeing, mountain biking, fishing, hiking and outdoor programs as well as top-notch instructional programs in swimming, sailing, tennis and golf. Then there is the award winning 48,000 square foot Logan Steele Community Center. The Community Center features an indoor swimming pool, state of the art fitness center and aerobics studio, multi-purpose space capable of accommodating two indoor tennis courts, a covered pavilion, paddle tennis court and much, much, more. If the Club can help you in attracting others to vacation in the Community by providing you with DVD’s, Leisure Service Guides, Calendars, Newsletters, Activity Flyers and the like, just give Communications/Marketing Manager Laura Altemose a call at (570) 646-9191, ext. 104 or email her at laltemose@lakenaomiclub.com. If you need Laura to speak directly with potential visitors, she will be glad to do that as well. Start now! Promote your Five Star Platinum Club Community. Planning for a great 2012 Season is underway.

Continue the Tradition During the past few years the Club has seen an increase in the number of sons and daughters of existing Club Members purchasing their own homes and joining the Club. These individuals have grown up spending quality time at Lake Naomi and Timber Trails and are now introducing the third generation, their children, to the special mountain lifestyle that has played such an important role in their lives. There is no better time to consider purchasing another property in Lake Naomi and Timber Trails. A number of smaller starter vacation homes are on the market at very affordable prices. What a grand tradition to continue with your children and grandchildren.

Community Center Guests While we are always happy to also entertain Guests here in Lake Naomi - Timber Trails, please be mindful of the Community Center guidelines this coming winter and holiday season: there is a limit of six Guests per day per Family Membership on weekdays and four Guests per day per Family Membership on weekends and holidays. Additional Guests may be approved on a case by case basis by calling Kelly Swingle, Community Center Manager (570) 646-8585.

Don’t Forget Your Skates The construction of the ice skating rink is under way for its fifth season in operation! The rink is located under the pavilion at the Community Center. The rink will be available for recreational skating for Members and Guests to use beginning on December 26, 2012 (weather permitting). The rink will be open during regular Community Center hours, with the lights turned on during the evenings. Skates will NOT be provided and please leave the hockey equipment at home. The Club wants all ages to be able to enjoy the rink during the winter season.

Calling all Teens Are you a teen (age 13-18) who likes to be active in the LN-TT Community? Do you have some ideas of things we can do that would make your visits to LN-TT more fun? Are you interested in having leadership and volunteer opportunities? Then the Club wants you! The Recreation Committee is setting up a Teen Advisory Committee (TAC) that will help to provide feedback and ideas for upcoming recreation activities. The TAC will be 8-12 teens who will meet periodically to discuss and plan teen activities. It will be some hard work with a lot of fun thrown in to keep things moving. If you are interested you can fill out the TAC application found in the Members Section of www.lakenaomiclub.com under the Online Office. This is your chance to help shape the future of teen activities at Lake Naomi Club.

Tennis Talk I thought you would enjoy reading thoughts from a former USTA President (when he was serving, our association was actually the USLTA). I have read it many times, as it was displayed in a prominent position in my Father’s club shops for all to see. Bobby McKee SHOTS Tennis, deep-rooted in the centuries, has ever taught ripe truths in the branches of life… Long history proves in Tennis, as in nearly everything else, there’s constant room for improvement, and a new place always at the top. Do the right thing in stroke, in stance, in service, and Tennis will respond to good form as does anything else in the world. A point lost is gone forever. In the final score, as every soul knows, the first point may be nearly as important as the last. Tennis is just a game, but so is nearly everything else. Every failure teaches its lesson, even a point lost may be worth its weight in gold, because a good loser can be the real winner. Never take your game too seriously. He who holds anything too close to the eye can never see with complete and improving perspective. Perfecting form is simply recognizing that sticking at it everlastingly counts. Junior Tennis development is a self-perpetuating dividend in national character and health. Can you imagine a tax supported government agency that more definitely, or so economically, invests in public welfare? There is no limit to the pleasure of honest effort. The score, when life’s courts are closed for the night, should be the sum total of one’s best and nothing else. Tennis makes better citizens and begets better businessmen. Give, then, a lift to the future of those youths who have given you pleasure, and who well served the game. No matter who you are, know the rules if you would have others respect your rights. That’s how human society lives best wherever freedom is cherished. Tennis begets self-discipline. It teaches the uncertainties of battle, overcoming obstacles, quick decisions, hardening the body under physical stress. America needs ten to every one of the millions who play the game. -Russell Barclay Kingman, President, USLTA 1951-1952

Golf Notes The leaves have changed colors and autumn is in full color in the glorious Pocono Mountains. Unfortunately for many this means not touching a club until spring time. Exercise and conditioning are essential for your health and playing well the following year. Swinging a weighted golf club several hundred times a day is a wonderful way to improve muscle tone and increase flexibility. Some sports I have found that are beneficial for my golf game are tennis, racquetball, swimming, walking and basketball. Many touring Professionals have recently started weight training and intense cardio workouts, helping them with their endurance and stamina during the course of a competitive round. Playing in a 72 hole tournament is not only mentally challenging, but also very physically rigorous. For many years the thinking was that lifting weights was detrimental for your golf swing, now it has been proven it can be very helpful in improving your strength and swing speed. The correct way to lift weights is to do a lot of repetitions with a light amount of weight. One of the most common mistakes is to lift too much weight too quickly. The “core” is the part of the body the Professional golfers target in order to get the maximum amount of torque and speed out of their golf swings. Eliminating excess body weight, especially in the core area, allows for more rotation and flexibility. Staying active, when the weather turns cold, enables you to get more enjoyment out of your golf game. Lessons in the off season are also a great way to improve your golf game in the winter. Again this year I will be offering lessons at the Logan Steele Community Center. With the use of the golf simulator and instruction, you can make some important improvements in your game. You can email me directly at my personal email to set-up a lesson. My email is greenlane77@yahoo.com. I would like to thank my entire Pro Shop staff; Joe Mileur, Jon Schoepf, Carole Kudlick, Chris Lepore, Ron Gray, Larry Afsten, Nick Poulin, Ryan Freeman, and Connor Friel. Thanks for all your hard work, you did a great job! See you on the Links! Bob Millard, PGA Golf Professional

Frostbite Regatta

10

Golf tips, Etiquette, and Explanations by Bob Millard, Golf Professional Golf etiquette is important when playing a round of golf. Knowing how to handle yourself is just as important as the score you shoot. Fixing ball marks, replacing divots, and raking bunkers are essential for everyone that plays this great game of golf. In 2012 we are going to put emphasis on taking care of the course and displaying proper golf etiquette while playing here at the Timber Trails Golf Club. A great rule of thumb is leaving the golf course in better shape than when you started the round!

Swing Shop

This year’s last organized day of sailboat racing for the 2011 season was held on Saturday, September 17th. The day was exactly as it’s name would suggest, as Members legs became numb while rigging in the fall weather. The “Frostbite Regatta” is traditionally the last time sailors come out to round the marks in a very casual format. The handful of sailors are typically out more for fun and comradery rather than a winning distinction. Races were run by Safety Boat volunteer Chris Daggett. Thanks Chris! Final placing for the regatta was 1st – Allen Rodriquez, 2nd – Sue Neely, 3rd – Jay Stevenson. Those of you who missed this last opportunity to round the marks this season are encouraged by the Sailing Committee to try to plan on attending next year.

Junior Sailing Program 2011 The Sailing Program participant numbers were again high in the 2011 season and as a result of the first year of online registration, some classes were even larger than we expected. To accommodate the 110 students we again added classes and instructors as needed for the large number of junior sailors. A few “A Fleet” participants also volunteered through the Club’s TMIT (Team Member in Training) Program specifically to help with the beginner classes. The two hour, twice a week sessions ran for six weeks allowing our young sailors plenty of time to increase their knowledge as well as their sailing and racing ability. Our sailors also have been finding the time to join in on the Sailing Association’s regattas and events including the separate Junior category of the Not Ready for Prime Time fleet races. This exciting trend remained consistent with the highest ever participation in the Junior Regatta. Not only is the weekend racing devoted to our Junior Sailors, but we also celebrated with a Friday evening Family Beach Tailgate Party and the End of Season Junior Sailing Celebration on Sunday. Sailors and their families gathered in the Logan Steele Community Center Pavilion to recap the summer, honor the season’s high scoring sailors, and receive their awards, stat sheets and mementos. Pizza and cake were served by the Sailing Committee Volunteers and a great time was had by all.

Is the Ice Safe for You, Your Friends and Equipment? With winter on its way, the ice fishing season is upon us. To assure a safe time while ice fishing, you must remember to follow certain precautions. Carelessness is the number one enemy of ice fisherpersons and knowledge is the number one weapon against that enemy. The best equipment is of no value if you are in icy water fighting to escape. Please take the following precautions when ice fishing to assure yourself and others of a good time. Know the ice. When selecting a location, check the ice by chipping it with a sharp object. If ice chips and has a clinking sound, it is good ice. If it crumbles and has a dull sound, it is unsafe. Stickups, piers or any protruding structures cause weak ice. Areas that have or are near currents, springs and aerators are also areas that may have weak ice. Please stay clear of these areas. Two inches of clear blue ice can support one person traveling on foot, three inches can support a group traveling in single file. Four or more inches of ice is considered safe for general use – such as a group of ice fisherpersons. Ice that is four inches thick will hold up to 260 pounds, over six inches is safe for you and your equipment. Cloudy or opaque ice may support less weight, and slush ice on a lake is only one-half as strong as clear blue ice. Before venturing out onto the ice, exercise extreme caution – especially during the first ice cover and during the late winter months when rapid changes occur in ice structure. Black ice is clear and has no snow frozen in it. This can be safe but it is difficult to see water holes on a calm day when there are no ripples on the water. It is very slippery and ice creepers for your footwear are a must. It’s always a good idea to use the buddy system when ice fishing. In the event that you break through the ice, stay calm and do not panic, put your arms up and lay them on the ice, your clothing will freeze and adhere to the ice. This will keep your body at a level accessible for rescue. Another rescue method is to take two large spikes and tie a leather strap to the head of each spike. Hang this device around your shoulders and slip the spikes in your breast pockets. If you should fall through the ice, grab the spikes to claw your way out of the water. REMEMBER, it is IMPOSSIBLE to crawl out of slippery ice if the water is more than waist deep. When trying to locate fish, do not move more than 10 feet from one hole to a new hole. Fish run in schools and will be feeding on plankton within a certain area. Depth of the ice is also very critical: at the first safe ice, fishing is best in the shallow water areas, as the ice thickens, the fish move into the deeper water areas.

Fourth and Fifth Grade Snowpass Program The Lake Naomi Club would like to make all Members aware of this wonderful program! The Pennsylvania Ski Area Association is offering any fourth or fifth grader the chance to ski for free this winter. There are 22 participating member resorts of the Pennsylvania Ski Areas Association with a few of the participating nearby mountains being Alpine, Bear Creek, Jack Frost/Big Boulder, Camelback, Shawnee, Blue, Elk and many more! The goal of this program is to introduce fourth and fifth graders to the sport of skiing and snowboarding and create life-long participants of winter fun. Visit www.skipa.com for all of the complete details and application.

Sledding Hill The Lake Naomi Club sledding hill located outside of the Lake Naomi Clubhouse will again be available to Members this winter season. The sledding hill will be open as of Saturday, December 24, 2011, weather permitting. When the sledding hill is open the hours of operation are from dawn until dusk. It is absolutely unsafe to ride the sledding hill after dark so please refrain from doing so. The sledding hill will be posted as “Closed” when it is considered unsafe to ride. Please abide by the postings each day in order to keep your entire family safe.

Where to Snowmobile The Lake Naomi Club has a publication available at the Administrative Office and the Community Center outlining areas in the vicinity of Lake Naomi and Timber Trails where snowmobiles are permitted. Since snowmobiles are not permitted on any of the common areas in Lake Naomi and Timber Trails, the Club is happy to assist Members in finding appropriate facilities for the use of their snowmobiles. The Administrative Office and the Community Center also maintains a list of several areas nearby that offer snowmobile rentals. If you have questions regarding snowmobiles, please do not hesitate to contact the Administrative Office or the Community Center. 11

The Second Annual Winter Festival A single idea turned out to be a great success and now it is an Annual Event. The Membership/Marketing Committee was looking for a way to promote LN-TT as the perfect year round destination. This year the Winter Festival will start on Friday, January 27th through Sunday, January 29th. The Club will again invite past Temporary Members to come stay at LN-TT that weekend to show them how much fun this area can be in the winter months. Local Real Estate Offices will be providing discounted rentals; Camelback and JFBB will be offering special rates for ski/snowboard tickets and the Club will hold several special events. The weekend will start off with a Kick Off Night at the Community Center. Special activities that are in the planning stages include, skating, story time, arts & crafts, gingerbread house making, games, snowman building contest, special night for the kids at the CC, special night for the adults at the LNCH, Après Ski Happy Hour, Sunday Breakfast Buffet, Horse drawn wagon rides, cross country skiing, sledding, Zumba Cardio Party, toasting marshmallows, s’more building, ice carving demonstration and chili cook off. Holiday Greetings! The arrival of the joyous Holiday Season is a vivid reminder of how quickly time passes. Was it not just yesterday when Members were sitting at the Lake Naomi Pool or Club Beach absorbing the wonderful sun rays, or playing a round of golf or calling for court times? Now the temperatures are declining, the leaves have fallen and the days are getting shorter. Let’s not forget the excitement of the first nor’easter that Mother Nature gave us this year dumping a foot of snow in time for Halloween. All these seasonal changes remind us that the Holiday Season is near. This is the time to reflect upon the childhood anticipation of the Season traditions and receive the inner warmth that family and friends give to our lives each and every year. This is the perfect time to remember our Lake Naomi – Timber Trails family and to say thank you. Thank you to all the Committee Members, Board of Governors and Board of Trustees for the countless hours and the dedication to ensuring that the Members’ Lake Naomi - Timber Trails home continues to be their favorite retreat. Also thank you to Management and Team Members who strive to ensure that all the Members’ experiences are top notch. As we say good-by to 2011 and welcome 2012, may the joy of this holiday season last throughout the year for you and your loved ones.

Vote for your favorite 2012 Calendar Picture The response to the request of sharing your favorite pictures was once again overwhelming. With the addition of online picture submission even more Members shared their favorite pictures. Over 1,000 pictures were submitted so selecting the best pictures for the 2012 calendar was a fun challenge. There are 58 pictures from 38 Club Members in the 2012 calendar. There is still a task that needs be done and the Club needs your help. As promised there are four $50 Stored Value Cards that need to be issued for the best pictures. The four pictures that receive the most votes will be awarded the SVC’s. You can place your vote by visiting the website at www. LakeNaomiClub.com. Click on the Members and then sign in, select What’s Happening from the menu bar, click on Current News from the drop down menu and there will be an article leading you to the voting form. Please take a few moments to enjoy the website and cast your vote. Each Member can choose their four favorite calendar pictures and all votes must be submitted by January 15th. 12

Coats for Tobyhanna Elementary Kids The Pacesetters are once again raising money to buy children’s coats for elementary students. For the past few years, the drive has been extended to all Lake Naomi - Timber Trails residents who have contributed quite generously to the children. Last year the Pacesetters was able to purchase 55 Columbia coats for the students of Tobyhanna Elementary School. We hope to increase the number of coats purchased this year, so any donated amount is greatly appreciated to help us reach our goal. Please send your donations to Club Member Rusty Gravatt (PO Box R, Pocono Pines, PA 18350). Contact Rusty for any additional information (570-646-0163).
