TOP EVENTS In May/June
The Sunrise Beach Little Theatre will be presenting a Dessert Theatre Production of “Curtain Up” at the Sunrise Beach Community Center (15133 N Hwy. 5 in Sunrise Beach). Written by Peter Quilter and directed by Cheryl Glawe, the show will be held May 19, 20 & 22. In this fast-paced comedy/drama, five people inherit equal shares in a dilapidated theatre and plan to bring it back to life again. They try various fundraising schemes including a world-famous star. Admission is $20 for play including dessert, coffee or tea. Audience members are welcome to BYOB. Doors open Thursday and Friday at 6 p.m. with play beginning at 7 p.m. Doors open at 1 p.m. on Sunday with play beginning at 2 p.m. Seating will be at dining tables. Powerboat Races
The annual Lake Race offshore powerboat races will be held June 2-4 in Lake Ozark. A Racers Reception is Thursday, Friday’s Street Party is held on the Bagnell Dam Strip and the races are held all day Saturday. A schedule of events and information will be in the next Vacation News.
