Your guide to catching fish
The lake level was 659.4, generation of 10,000 cubic feet per second (CFS) at the beginning of the week up to 12,000 CFS at the end of the week for a level of 659.6 by the weekend. Surface temperature at Bagnell Dam was 87 degrees. Truman Lake was at the 705.4 level.
To Note: The Lower Lake is from the dam to the 22-mile mark; Mid-Lake is from the 22- to 38-mile mark, the Upper Osage is from the 38-mile mark to the Route 65 Bridge.

Michael Harlin and Austin Culbertson won the twoday Boat WRX Summer Bass Sizzler tournament last weekend with 10 bass weighing 34.72 pounds.
Bagnell Dam spillway/Osage River
Water clarity: Stained. Black bass: Fair on topwater lures, Ned rigs, squarebill crankbaits and plastic crawfish along rocky banks. Catfish: Good on shad and skipjack herring.
Lower Lake
Water clarity: Clear. Black bass: Fair on topwater lures early in the morning on flats in the backs of coves or on main lake wave breaks. Crappie: Slow on jigs or minnows under dock lights at night. Catfish: Good tight lining nightcrawlers around docks.
Gravois
Water clarity: Clear. Black bass: Fair on Texasrigged 10-inch plastic worms in brush piles 10 to 15 feet deep. Crappie: Good trolling crankbaits or shooting jigs under docks on the main channel. Catfish: Excellent on cut shad or skipjack herring.
Mid-Lake
Water clarity: Clear. Black bass: Fair on topwater lures early in the morning or on jigs, shaky head worms, lipless crankbaits and squarebill crankbaits from midway to the backs of creeks. Crappie: Fair on jigs in brush piles 10 to 15 feet deep. Catfish:
Good on jug lines baited with bluegill.
Grand Glaize
Water clarity: Clear. Black bass: Slow flipping jigs and Texasrigged plastic worms or creature baits to docks 10 to 15 feet deep in pockets. Crappie: Fair on jigs in brush piles 15 feet deep or on minnows and jigs around the condo docks lights at night. Catfish: Good on noodle lines baited with cut shad.
Niangua
Water clarity: Clear. Black bass: Slow on topwater lures and bladed jigs around docks on main and secondary points or on jigs and plastic worms 15 to 20 feet deep in brush. Crappie: Slow shooting jigs under docks on the main channel. Catfish: Slow on jug lines baited with cut shad.
Upper Osage
Water clarity: Clear. Black bass: Slow on topwater lures and jigs halfway back in coves. Crappie: Good on minnows 6 to 12 feet deep around docks. Catfish: Excellent on cut shad, goldfish and worms.
Truman Dam spillway
Water clarity: Stained. Catfish: Slow on fresh shad at night.
