CALENDAR OF EVENTS OCTOBER 16 & 17 • Fall Festival/Apple Butter Days will be held at the Camden County Museum. Craft booths, demonstrations, a quilt raffle, chili supper, apple butter and pies for sale and other entertainment will be held. Admission is free. For more information, go to www.camdencountymuseum.org. 17 • Hot Summer Nights, a free car show for spectators and participants, is held along the Bagnell Dam Strip the second Friday of the month during the summer. Held from 5-10 p.m., anyone is welcome to park their car, truck or bike along the center lane and take part in the entertainment happening along the Strip. The theme in May is “Invasion of the Rat Rods.” Go to Hot Summer Nights on Facebook for more information. 17 • The Lake of the Ozarks Swing Dance Club will present their Awesome 70s and 80s Halloween Bash e at Ozark Yacht Club in Lake Ozark. Social hour with dancers will be at 7 p.m., followed by dancing until 10:30 p.m. Members and Sister Club Members are $7 per person and Non-members and guests are $10 per person. A mix of music is played (swing, cha cha, country, nightclub two-step, waltz and others) Cash bar. For more information, go to www.starkcaverns.com/fall-festival. 17 • The Iowa Reunion Club will host their annual Fall event, the “IRC’s Iowacotberfeast” (I-woc-tober-feast) for all current 2020 Iowa Reunion Club members. This event will be held at Wicked Willies in Osage Beach from 5:30-7 p.m. This event, as are all Iowa Reunion Club events, is open to all current 2020 club members. The Iowa Reunion Club, celebrating their 26th year on the lake, is for former Iowans, and part time Iowans, that live at the Lake of the Ozarks. Membership is $10 per year, per household to join. On Saturday a ribbon cutting will be held October 17 at 5 p.m., followed by BBQ, a beer garden, bonfire and smore’s. After sundown, a laster light show and fireworks will be held. On Sunday from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. there will be face painters,

a balloon artist, caricature artist, tricycle races, corn pit, bounce houses, giant slide, hay rides, pumpkin painting, and food. The new ballpark venue is located at 480 Kissick Way in Macks Creek.

18 • The annual Classic Country Jamboree will be held at the Lodge of Four Seasons starting at 2 p.m. Doors open at 1 p.m. Headliners are Leona and Ron Williams with 11 additional performers. 21-23 • The Sunrise Beach Little Theatre will be presenting a Dessert Theatre Production of “Angel Street (Gaslight)” at 7 p.m. (with doors opening at 6 p.m.) at the Sunrise Beach Community Center. Admission to this production will be $20 for the play which includes dessert, coffee and tea. Audience members are welcome to BYOB. Due to Covid restrictions seating will be limited. 7 • The Osage Beach Elks Lodge will host the 7th annual Veterans Parade. Cars will line up at 11:30 a.m. at City Hall with the parade starting at 1 p.m. Anyone is welcome to enter the parade by calling the Elks Lodge at 573–348-3798 or Fred at 573-552-2901. At the end of the parade the Elks lodge will be serving free hot dogs and drinks. 11-21 •  The Gala of Trees will be held at Wobbly Boots. Bid on a already decorated Christmas tree or wreath with proceeds going to lake area children’s charities. Opening day (Oct. 11) happy hour tickets are $20. Opening night (Oct. 12) Gala tickets are A$25. Tickets and sponsorships available by calling 573-392-1000. 14 • A 1950s-1980s Trivia event will be held at Christ the King Fellowship Hall in Lake Ozark. Hosted by the Sailing Solo group, the event is open to everyone. Soft drinks will be provided, BYO snacks. Cost is $5 per person.
