Door Supervision course for your workforce 2010/2011


Biiab Award In Door Supervision Level 2 Hospitality What’s on the Course? To provide a basic, nationally, recognised course for Door Supervisors in licensed premises. — The role of the Door Supervisor and Customer Care. — Social Skills including Body Language. — Licensing Law. — Health and Safety at work including the Duty of Care. — First Aid: an Appreciation of the Requirements. — Emergencies and Emergency Procedures. — Drugs – Recognition of Usage and Effects — Searches of both Premises and Obligations. — Eviction, Setting a Policy. — The Use of Force what is reasonable and necessary. — Offensive Weapons. — Arrest, When, How and by Whom. — Scene Preservation, the Protection of Evidence. — Conflict Management. By the end of the course you should be able to: — Apply for an SIA license. — Display a basic knowledge of licensing law. — Understand the obligations and restrictions placed on a door supervisor. — Display customer care skills.

Further criteria needs to be met including a Criminal Record check. Unit 1: Working in the private security sector. Unit 2: Working as a Door Supervisor. Unit 3: Conflict management for the private security industry. Unit 4: Physical Intervention skills for the private security industry.

How long does it take? Part time, 7.5 hours a day for 4 days over 4 weeks.

What are the entry requirements? — 18 years of age and over — Basic literacy

How much will it cost — £150
