The £11 million campus building includes a Learning Resource Centre with over 90 on-line computers, a superb library and plenty of study space. There is also a café, restaurant, shop with a Starbucks concession, hair and beauty treatment salon, workshops, art and design studios and an impressive range of sports facilities including: a sports hall, tennis courts, rugby and football pitches, fitness suite, free weights gym and a floodlit multi-use games area. At Lakes College West Cumbria students are taught everything from basic skills through to post graduate level subjects on a full or part-time basis, either in college, at centres near to where they live, in their workplace or even at home.
