Dr. Anthony Kim is an innovative in the field of spine technologies. In 2007, he was one of the first in the nation to adopt computer-navigated STEALTH technologies for the treatment of scoliosis and revision surgeries, with currently > 2500 navigated spinal cases. Since 2019, he has partnered with the two foremost spinal robotics companies – Medtronic and Globus – in the pursuit of taking spinal robotic technology to the highest level. At the most recent Congress of Neurological Surgeons (CNS) meeting, he presented his results on the accuracy of 800 Mazor-XTM robot-guided screws and as well as the height restoration of 450 navigated posterior expandable interbody cages through mini-open or minimally placed corridors, including the use of this technique in scoliosis. In 2023, he will be among the first national adopters of the newer generation of robot- and navigation -connected augmented reality (AR) goggles and system (not yet FDA-approved).

Dr. Kim provides patients with teaching, insight, and knowledge of the pros and cons of the most recent advances in the field. Dr. Kim has also partnered with Wave Neurosciences in the non-invasive treatment of depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder, among others. Using real-time and EEG-guided transmagnetic brain stimulation, Magnetic e-Resonance Treatment (MeRT) offers real hope for those suffering from brain fog, recent strokes with difficult spasticity recovery and emotional turmoil from military trauma. He is the medical officer at the Brain Treatment Center in Newport Beach.

Dr. Kim completed medical school at Keck-USC Medical School, internship, a Neurosurgery residency and a Complex Spine Fellowship at the University of Southern California (USC) Department of Neurosurgery. Dr. Kim currently has offices in Mission Viejo and Newport Beach.
