JONATHAN ZELKEN, MD

The Zelken Institute for Aesthetic Medicine is nestled in the heart of Newport Beach. Dr. Zelken, nurse Miki Omori, and esthetician Regina Bond offer a comprehensive menu of cosmetic procedures, including facials, skincare, injectables, facial plastic surgery, and breast and body surgery. “When all you have is a hammer, everything looks like a nail,” says Dr. Zelken, “so by offering everything from wellness to medspa services to surgery, patients can expect the best treatment available to address their goals and desires.”

Dr. Jonathan Zelken is a board-certified plastic and reconstructive surgeon. He obtained his undergraduate degree in Biology from Cornell and medical degree from Tufts. Dr. Zelken trained in plastic surgery at Johns Hopkins and is a fellowshiptrained microsurgeon. A skilled and compassionate doctor who is celebrated by patients and respected by peers, Dr. Zelken is recognized as a prolific author of textbook chapters and scientific articles. More recently, he started a YouTube channel and has rapidly amassed over 10,000 subscribers (be sure to subscribe @zelkeninstitute).

“I love the craft of plastic surgery and observing the physical and emotional transformation of my patients,” he explains. “I am very thankful I have the ability to impact the lives of patients, not only before and during, but long after surgery.” Dr. Zelken is best known for cutting-edge facelift surgery, wide awake surgery, buccal fat removal, and “scarless” surgery that relies on radiofrequency energy and liposculpture. He is passionate about teaching and enhancing the field of plastic surgery. Nurse Miki is best known for lip injections, Botox, and laser skin resurfacing. Regina offers the best Hydrafacial experience in town.
