The space of uNVEILED FORCES Bogota, Colombia Design studio Technical specialization April 2013

As part of a renovation project, the auditorium comes in the landscape as an element that significantly changes its appearance with the transition from day to night, due to its opaque enclosure that only leaves perceive shapes from light and shadow. It is accessed from a semi-buried square, from an hanging ramp that turns around the space in a surround way. The highlighted element in the volume is the suspended auditorium on space that makes evident the forces acting in it, while the sinuous shapes of the wooden box meet the necessary technical requirements.

EMPOWERING COMMUNITIES of sustainable construction techniques and practices Ouled merzoug, Morocco Design studio atelier KUL April 2018 In partnership with: Iraide Pallin and Nakul Varma

The main question to be solved was how to promote a sustainable development in the moroccan village of Ouled Merzoug, that is recognized in the region because of its sustainable awarness, relisience, persistence and initiative. After an analisys and research on site for 7 seven days with the villagers it was possible to conclude that a way to ractivate their economic activities and avoid the inmmigration of their youth population was provide a vocational center for sustainable construction practices as a way to empower the community and highlight their traditional earth construction technique. The proposed building works as the main gate to the village and is strategically situated in a crosspoint of local pathways to impulse its used as a gathering place to spred this knowledge between the neighbor communities.
