‘Fiolstræde’ continuing with an extention of its stone pavement over ‘Havnegade’ to ‘Værftsvej’. The street view is strongly framed by the new planting along the street as well as the waterdrain which leads people from the inner town all the way to the World Sea - Visualization.

The framing with the vegetation creates different spacial qualities such as Motorfabrikken backyard, informal sunexposed stay at the long bench and open spaces in direct contact to the water By Motorfabrikken Plan 1:500

The former military island has lost its form as the terrain has eroded. The future of the site is planned for youth sea scouts.

Concept: We are adding a new layer to Ungdomsøen by framing the island with a continuous, climate-robust vegetation, that shields the island from the city. When entering the island through the pier’s arms, you are welcomed to the youth paradise, “Middelhaven”
