Marie Curie Industry-Academic Partnerships and Pathways (IAPP)

The research findings established through this Industry - Academia partnership will interrogate the fundamental green roof understanding of the current age. The very performance metrics by which green roof elements are measured have been questioned, and the outcomes will show new research agendas must be adopted. The Lead Academics, Industry partners and research fellows involved in the project will come together to present and discuss the main findings of the most scientifically robust integrated green roof research in recent times. In addition, leading scientists from the most innovative green roof research centre's around the world will come together to present leading edge investigative activity. Research topic areas include: Plant selection + screening (the largest green roof plant screening ever) Optimised hydrological performance (both, vegetation establishment and stormwater) 3. Integrative whole system hydrological modelling 1. 2.

This conference will be of interest to all those with an interest in green roofs with particular regard to plants, substrates, manufactured layers and their interaction with water and stormwater management. This is the opportunity to be in at the beginning of the new age of green roof science.
