Regular Academic Admission Requirements

DOMESTIC STUDENTS

Canadian citizens and those who have permanent residency (landed immigrant) status in Canada must meet one or all of the following criteria:

. Successful completion of a BC secondary program (Grade 12) or the equivalent OR . Be at least 19 years of age by the first day of the first semester of attendance OR . Successful completion of an A.B.E. (Adult Basic Education) or G.E.D. (General Educational Development) program. INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS

International Students with a study permit or as a visitor (short term programs) in Canada must meet the following criteria:

. Successful completion of 12 years of formal education. A list of equivalent international credentials is on the Langara Global admissions website.

ENGLISH LANGUAGE PROFICIENCY REQUIREMENTS English is the language of instruction at Langara. All applicants are required to demonstrate proficiency in the English language prior to admission to post-secondary programs.

PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS

Programs with additional program requirements may ask for the completion of certain high school or post-secondary courses, letters of reference, statements of intent, interviews, auditions, portfolio submissions, or other requirements. Requirements may also include minimum scores on diagnostic or placement tests such as the Langara English Test (LET), the Language Proficiency Index (LPI), the Mathematics / Statistics Diagnostic Test (MDT), and the Physics Diagnostic Test.
