EARN MONEY WHILE IN SCHOOL

Co-operative Education, offered in the Co-op & Career Development Centre, allows you to alternate semesters of full-time study with paid work terms to gain practical, career-related work experience in your field. You will be provided with opportunities to meet alumni, employers, and sponsors, or join associations who will help you grow valuable connections. Apply in your first year to get a head start on your career.

WORK EXPERIENCE FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS

Eligible international students, with a valid study permit, can work part-time without a work permit as long as you maintain full-time status. Co-op students must apply for a Co-op Work Permit through Immigration Canada. After graduating from a certificate, diploma, degree program, or post-degree program you may be eligible to apply for a Post-Graduation Work Permit.

It is integral that we come together as global citizens to support one another and work together. Through virtual exchange we are proud to provide our students with the skills necessary to adapt and manage whatever circumstances arise in the workplace and in the world.”

INTERNATIONAL WORK EXPERIENCE

The Disney Field School is a Co-op program where you can earn nine credits of academic coursework at the University of California Riverside, and the Disney University, then work for six months at Walt Disney World. Get training in hospitality, merchandising and sales, attractions, and food and beverage.

TRAVEL BEYOND THE CLASSROOM

Let the world be your classroom. Combine studies and experience with the excitement of travel by participating in a field school or exchange program. These programs allow you to choose credit or non-credit experiences with a range of duration and locations.

PARTICIPATE IN A VIRTUAL EXCHANGE

Use online tools to develop digital literacy that bridges geographic boundaries while learning with other students at partner institutions around the world. Become more aware of cultural differences and more competent in your ability to be flexible and adaptable in an intercultural environment.

REACH YOUR GOALS

The Counselling department is free for current students to use and offers counselling services focused on personal, educational, and career needs. Students can get support for their educational goals by attending student success workshops and course planning sessions.
