Los New York Knicks han oficializado a través de su presidente Leon Rose el fichaje de Donte DiVincenzo, quien llega procedente de Golden State Warriors mediante un acuerdo por cuatro años y 46,8 millones de dólares.
El escolta natural de Newark volverá a reunirse junto a sus antiguos compañeros de universidad Jalen Brunson y Josh Hart, quienes fueron ganadores del torneo NCAA en dos ocasiones (2016 y 2018).

“Estamos encantados de tener a Donte en nuestra familia Knick y le vemos como un perfecto complemento para poder establecer nuestra cultura ganadora”, señaló Leon Rose. “Tiene un ADN ganador, es un jugador muy versátil con buen lanzamiento exterior y una sólida defensa”, destacó.
Su contrato está conformado de la siguiente forma, de acuerdo a informaciones del periodista Fred Katz del medio The Athletic: 2023-24: 10,9 millones de dólares, 2024-25: 11,4 millones de dólares, 2025-26: 12 millones de dólares, 2026-27: 12,5 millones de dólares.
Seleccionado por Milwaukee Bucks mediante el pick 17º del Draft 2018, en 273 encuentros oficiales atesora unos guarismos de 9,1 puntos, 4,6 rebotes, 2,8 asistencias y 1,2 robos de balón en 24,3 minutos por jornada.

New York Knicks announced today that the team has signed guard Donte DiVincenzo to a contract. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
“We are excited to add Donte to the Knicks family and view him as a perfect fit to the culture we continue to establish,” said Knicks president Leon Rose. “Winning is in his DNA, and he will provide us with versatility, three-point shooting and defensive tenacity.”
DiVincenzo, 6-4, 203-pounds, appeared in 72 games (36 starts) for Golden State last season, averaging 9.4 points on a career best 39.7-percent shooting from downtown, 4.5 rebounds and 3.5 assists over 26.3 minutes. He established single-season career highs for games played (72), three-pointers made (150), assists (252), steals (97), minutes played (1,894) and three-point field goal percentage (39.7%). He scored in double figures in 33 games and eclipsed the 20-point mark four times last season. DiVincenzo owns career averages of 9.1 points, 4.6 re- bounds, 2.8 assists, 1.15 steals over 24.3 minutes in 273 games (127 starts) over five seasons with the Bucks, Kings and Warriors.
The Newark, DE-native has appeared in 26 career playoff games over three postseasons with the Bucks and Warriors, averaging 5.6 points, 3.5 rebounds, 2.2 assists over 18.1 minutes. He was a member of Milwaukee’s 2021 NBA Championship team.
