La Catrina Andante

At the beginning of the 20th century, Jose Guadalupe Posada, a Mexican cartoonist, gave Mexico, Hispanics, and humanity a drawing of death turned into a woman. What we know today as La Catrina is born from his talent and has become the symbol of death festivities everywhere.

Many years later, at the time of the COVID-19 pandemic, Livette Ruvalcaba, a young woman who was Miss Jalisco, gives life to LA CATRINA ANDANTE.

La Catrina Andante, an idea that was born in the city of Los Angeles, is now one of the most recognized icons in sporting and social events around the world. Livette, La Catrina Andante, sought with the idea of her to promote the culture of her native Mexico, carrying the beauty that death can have if it is done with elegance.

La Catrina Andante has been invited to important events, especially soccer matches in the Mexican and Latin American leagues, without also ruling out that she has participated in NFL games and international events.

She is an ambassador of Mexico, dressed in typical Mexican costumes, from charro suit to china poblana. Her flower crowns or her charro sombrero are the perfect frame for her artistically made-up face of beautiful death.

An intense promoter of tourism, gastronomy, beaches, community, and soccer in Mexico, La Catrina Andante inspires everyone who meets her.

Beneath all the makeup (which takes over 3 hours to apply), is a beautiful young woman who has inspired today’s fashion designers; a former beauty queen from her home state of Jalisco where in 2012; and a soccer fan, especially ATLAS, which inspired her to have her Podcast “La Rojinegra” reaching all soccer fans in many parts of the world. La Catrina Andante lives in Los Angeles, California, and is another example of what it is to be LATINO EXCELLENCE.
