ABOUT

TESTED & REFINED IN COLORADO At Liberty, our location in the heart of the Colorado Rockies informs everything we do. Our commitment to crafting great skis and doing business the right way means we sweat the little stuff. We test and refine our skis right in our backyard, dial in the construction, wrap them in beautiful graphics, and make sure they are available at the finest ski retailers, because every aspect of crafting a ski matters to us and is inspired by our surroundings. Mountains can be unforgiving places, but we make them our home because with the right focus, they are the most rewarding places. Every decision and detail is amplified in the high alpine environment, and we wouldn’t want it any other way. At Liberty, details matter.

ABOUT

BAMBOO STRONG When we first started building skis in 2003, the prevailing wisdom was that quality ski cores could only be made from old-growth hardwood. We knew that before the rise of fiberglass and then carbon fiber, most fly rods were made from segmented bamboo. Strong fish, such as salmon and even tarpon, had been landed on these bamboo rods and we knew they could make exceptional ski cores with the right species selection, handling, and treatment. We tested and refined our process, and have since become the leader in bamboo ski construction. We still use fiberglass and carbon fiber (like those fly rod builders), along with our signature bamboo laminate core construction to give every Liberty ski a unique feel on snow. At Liberty, we take the best attributes of natural and high tech materials and combine them in a way no other ski maker can. We don’t mind bending the rules to make exceptional skis.

7

ABOUT

INNOVATIVE TECHNOLOGY For a small independent brand, Liberty has consistently brought big brand technological innovation to market. Liberty pioneered and remains the leader in using sustainable bamboo in all our ski cores, creating lively skis with a grounded feel. Many of our models couple bamboo with the power of carbon fiber for added performance. We developed Vertical Metal TechnologyÂŽ, or VMTÂŽ, as a way to provide the power and precision of horizontal metal laminate cores without the weight. Poured polyurethane sidewalls are now standard on all Liberty models for the ultimate in durability and vibration reduction. These signature Liberty technologies are combined with precisely matched sidecuts and camber/rocker profiles to create skis that are intuitive and solid.

8

BAMBOO + CARBON Utilizing the best of natural and high tech materials results in a lightweight ski that is powerful yet easy to control. The bamboo flexes deeply and returns a skier’s energy in a smooth, predictable way, while the carbon creates power and stiffness without significant weight.

POURED PU SIDEWALLS Polyurethane is poured directly into the core profile, reducing vibrations and creating exceptionally smooth transitions.

VMTÂŽ TECHNOLOGY 5000 series alloy metal struts are sandwiched between our hand-selected bamboo and poplar to create a damp, light, and powerful ride.

AWARD-WINNING PERFORMANCE Like a brick house—they mighty, mighty let it all hang out. Crazy light for the performance they deliver. This is a one-wolf pack you want to run; amaze-balls stable for the ample tip and tail rise. Like Ricky Bobby, they were born to go fast.

Liberty calls the Origin96 “a new all-mountain standard.” That’s a big, ballsy claim for sure, but I can say that I haven’t skied anything that feels terribly similar. Five days in, and it feels like I can make this ski do anything I want it to.

VMT 1.0 CORE ENERGETIC & LIGHT

VMT 1.0 combines the natural liveliness of our signature bamboo and poplar wood core with the inherent power and stability of aluminum alloy. By laminating the metal vertically between full length bamboo stringers we increase the effect of the metal without adding extra material or weight. This combination of energy return from the bamboo and power from the vertical metal is further enhanced by strategic placement of precured carbon fiber strips along the top of the core where they help maintain directional stability and torsional rigidity.

GENESIS - FREERIDE

AWARD-WINNING PERFORMANCE With high scores in Playfulness and Quickness, the Genesis 96 was an easy tester favorite. “Zippy little skis,” said one tester. That zippiness might be attributed to its heart of bamboo and poplar, with class-leading forgiveness provided by a well-tuned rocker profile that initiated turns almost as easily as it released them. “Fun enough in pow and chunder to make it one-ski-quiver worthy. – Ski Magazine

22

This year Liberty gave the Genesis106 a slightly lower tip rocker line, but it’s still one of the best options in this width when it comes to floatation in deep snow. And the upside to the revised rocker profile is that it now holds an edge and carves a bit better than the old version – Ski Magazine

EVOLV - ALL-MOUNTAIN

AWARD-WINNING PERFORMANCE A distinctive new technology that not only works as advertised but exceeds performance expectations. The result is remarkably consistent performance in all snow conditions. Given its wide range of application, it would be a shame to shackle the evolv90 to groomers. – RealSkiers.com

With vertically oriented alloy struts in the core, the ski could hold its own on hard snow, but maintained a high level of versatility thanks to a girthy waist and perfectly placed shovel rocker. It was the ski’s rebound that really impressed a few testers, however, launching some of them out of turns with big smiles. – Ski Magazine

VMT 3.0 CORE POWERFUL & PRECISE

VMT 3.0 takes our successful vertical metal core technology two steps further by adding 2 aluminum alloy struts toward the outside of the core in addition to the metal centered along the length of the ski. These additional metal layers combined with extra bamboo in the core creates a precise and smooth ski that stays quiet at high speeds, yet remains light enough to be quick and nimble in difficult conditions. VMT 3.0 is further enhanced by strategic placement of precured carbon fiber strips over the top of the outside metal struts where they boost the power and stability of the ski.

HELIX 44

HELIX - ALL-MOUNTAIN

AWARD-WINNING PERFORMANCE The Liberty Helix 88 was appreciated by testers for its tenacity at all speeds, and its ability to transition from hard snow to bumps to chalky steeps with ease. The bamboo and poplar wood core is matched with carbon fiber, and the overall construction allows the ski to be lightweight and snappy. “This dancer likes fast rock ‘n’ roll. Very quick to the edge with a light feel underfoot.” – Ski Magazine

46

The Helix88 is my ski of choice in the liberty line up. It’s super light, but stiff enough to stomp on big jumps and soft enough to butter on rails and rollers. I just rode a fresh pair when I was down in hood and I was ripping turns down the snake track with sharp edges. All around a solid, poppy, and fun park ski. – Newschoolers.com

47

HELIX - ALL-MOUNTAIN

SPEEDCORE CARBON STRONG & NIMBLE

SPEED CORE CARBON is our time-tested bamboo and poplar core that is light, strong, and responsive. It gets upgraded with the addition of full length pre-cured carbon fiber reinforcement. The carbon fiber strips add resilience to the flex of the core and directional stability when laying the ski over in a turn. It also keeps the core weight down for a light ski that causes less fatigue when skiing hard.
