Lashun Costor
Lashun Costor is a visual artist born and raised in Georgetown, Guyana. So far, she has worked with The MET Opera House, WEtv, 3DW, and The Arnold and Sheila Aronson Galleries, with other extensive collaborations in the works. She is committed to success through her drive, confidence, and motivation, a long-standing effect of her past studies, as an alumna of The High School of Fashion Industries, three-year Parsons Scholars Program, and a BFA from Parsons School of Design. Her experiences have led her down a strong academic and professional path. Truly flourished while developing the profoundly personal exploration of unpacking the identity of Black women through self-evaluation and external interviews. Her artwork takes a critical view of social and cultural issues. Often referencing American history. She communicates through 2D and 3D forms by creating new unique spaces for viewers to question their environments.
