Keyaesthetics EDITORS NOTE
CLIMATE CHANGE There is an obvious uncertainty in the air as we face the Travel dilemma: to travel or not to travel. For many of us, we are concerned about our families, ourselves or our livelihood. What matters most though is that we maintain our joy and have positive outlets in our lives to endure. Staycations are ever more popular and in this issue we highlight what you can do. This season we are taking a pause to reflect, be grateful and be mindful. When you receive so much love; you are prompted to share that generosity. We’ve been taking Art classes remotely from home to build on our appreciation of our love of Art. It is only when you draw is when you begin to see. We encourage everyone to develop their creativity side and create a mobile outlet. Front page artwork: Shanta Laster

Art + Style CREATIVITY NEEDS SACRED SPACE Where can you get messy and innovate?
KeyAestheticsMagazine.com
Art + Style HOSTING GUESTS To share your home is to confirm someone’s existence. No matter the size of your home or how much you have to offer, opening your home to others is an act of confirmation. It confirms your love for them and your willingness to share the internal part of you. Giving is such a stress reliever and as we look to do more staycation events, hosting a Spring festivity at your home now begs more than ever. Create an inviting outdoor space with pillows, candles and throws. Nestle tables alongside each other to create vignettes where your company will never want to leave. Have a firepit? Even better, we all love to gather around a fire. When we host an event it is good to remember that it is not about us. We cater to our guests; their diets, their comfortability, etc. Try gluten free and vegan dishes to offer variety. If you do ask people to bring a dish, they too can contribute to the shared generosity. Tale dinner on the boat. Here we do summer dinners on Candlewood Lake (Sherman, CT).
Art + Style THE ARTIST LIVES IN YOU
When we create it is individual, it is our own truth and it is valuable. The act of creating stirs positive emotions and when we share the results are the same in others. Whether we cook, paint or write a poem, we are creating. We are ALL creative. An Artist as abstract that title is exists in everyone. We just show it differently and approach it differently. To the left is our deconstructive approach right before we set to paint a sketch. We mark the areas where we want to see light, shade and color. Our approach is systematic whereas others can be organic. What is your Artistic approach?

Three Ways to Invest
1. DIY Style? Pick an online trading platform. For the person who likes to take matters in their own hands, you may want to consider Charles Schwab online or Acorns. Open an E-Trade account or invest your left over change for them to invest in high yield stocks for you. 2. Open an IRA When you open an IRA you have options of where to invest your money and how much you can earn over 1, 5 or 10 years. Roth IRA is money you already paid taxes on. Maximum investment is $5,500 per year into the Roth IRA. Traditional IRA is pre-tax money and you defer taxes until retirement. 3. CD Set up automatic transfers from your bank account to an investment or CD account (high yielding savings account). Take a percentage of your paycheck and do it automatically so you don’t have control.

TRAVEL APP
PARIS
Paris Travel Guide This app is the most user friendly one we’ve found. It helps you to identify nearby attractions, restaurants, monuments and other sites. You can create a “favorite restaurants”, “favorite streets” lists and save them for your own digital experience.
Paris Metro Map We believe this app is a no brainer. Although it is tres facil to navigate the Paris underground, it never helps to have a handy app.
52 MARTINIS (Paris Cocktail Finder) When you walked all day and you need that amazing cocktail, you know there is an app for that. Search by terrace, rooftop, happy hour, etc. Do not forget to visit Le Jardin des Abbesses – The secret garden in Montmartre, Paris. Shakespeare & Co - Bookstore
ICELAND
Jökulsárgljúfur One of the many basalt formations. The landscape is just one of the breathtaking canyons in Iceland. VALLEY OF SKÓGAR In Southern Iceland you will be mesmerized by the beauty of these canyons. Travel rocky, awe-inspiring Winters and snow fields.

What we are Reading
1. Russians Amongst Us by Gordon Corera A riveting explanation and revelation of sleeper spies, and the years long hunt to capture some of the most “deep cover” spies.
2. The Art of Looking Up A photographer’s dream at a look of amazing ceilings in Europe and Asia.
3. There Are No Grown Ups Be inspired by your daily life. Keep a journal or a sketchbook of your sketches.
4. The Tattooist of Auschwitz An unforgettable real-life story that took us breathe away and had us on the edge of our seats. A “hopeful recreation of Lale Sokolov's experiences as the man who tattooed the arms of thousands of prisoners with what would become one of the most potent symbols of the Holocaust” KeyAestheticsMagazine.com

I love to highlight children artwork, and this was a nifty idea. See images above. It would be nice to start giving these away as custom gifts. And the Modern Watch everyone needs. And Headphones to die for – wow! Just coming back from my Travels, I am working on creating some Custom Postcard gift packs. Most likely to be a gift for moi (teehee). Brilliant Airplane seat hammock for infant. Why didn’t I think of this invention?
