NEW HORIZONS I want to start by thanking all of you for your continued support of the Ivan Sher Group. It is with great pleasure that we are able to announce some exciting things on the horizon such as our launch into the Orange County, Newport Beach market this Spring. Why Orange County? Beyond the beautiful weather, ocean-front properties, and amusement parks, ‘OC’ has not only become a highly sought after destination for travel and fun, but has been a strong, direct feeder for the Las Vegas market as well. It was a natural expansion for The Ivan Sher Group as a great majority of our clientele owns property in Orange County as well as Las Vegas. With that, we are excited to have Avi Dan-Goor, one of the original members of the Shapiro and Sher Group, helping us with the launch of our Newport Beach office! As we experience the strong start in the market for 2019, we look back and reflect on last year and what we accomplished as a team. In 2018 the Ivan Sher Group closed just under $270 million in sales, including 10 homes over three million dollars. With the Vegas Golden Knights established in Las Vegas, the Las Vegas Raiders making their way, and an influx of outof-state buyers, we are excited and optimistic about what’s to come in 2019 for the Las Vegas real estate market. ORANGE COUNTY We are pleased to announce that Avi Dan-Goor will be heading up our newly-established Newport, California, office. We look forward to this expansion of our services to discerning buyers and sellers, and know that Avi Dan-Goor is the perfect choice to oversee the Orange County branch of the Ivan Sher Group. Following a successful career in the hospitality industry, Avi DanGoor became a full-time real estate professional in 2006 and quickly distinguished himself as a top performer in the demanding Las Vegas luxury market. His attention to detail is exemplary, and he notes that service is a key component of his business philosophy, whether he is dealing with the sale of a $500,000 property, or helping a buyer find the perfect multi-million-dollar estate. Avi works equally well with sellers and buyers, and has become a specialist at marketing properties both locally and on the global stage. Although Avi is extremely knowledgeable about the Las Vegas market, and thoroughly immersed in local community activities, he also maintains a home in Orange County. He believes that his success is grounded in his ability to forge lasting friendships and business associations with clients, and he is committed to providing “white glove” service from beginning to end in every transaction. A native of Israel and the son of a successful Israeli businessman, Avi came to the United States at age 18 to pursue study in hotel management at the University of Nevada. He credits his father for instilling in him at an early age a passionate work ethic and a persistent desire to succeed. He notes that his father became his first mentor, and helped him understand that “my only limits are self-imposed.” Avi also believes in the benefits of active involvement within his communities. He serves on the board of directors for Candlelighters Childhood Cancer Foundation of Nevada. He’s chaired the organization’s annual fundraiser, The Evening of Hope since 2017. In addition, this exemplary real estate agent mentors newer real estate salespeople, and works diligently with local organizations to promote the benefits of good nutrition and proper exercise. The Israeli native maintains close family ties and speaks fluent Hebrew, in addition to fully embracing his life and business in this country. We are honored to have Avi Dan-Goor as a member of the Ivan Sher team. VEGAN EATS WITH THELASVEGASFOODIE

When Lindsay Stewart and her husband moved to the Las Vegas Valley five years ago, they were determined to dine at every single restaurant on the Strip. Motivated to document this vast undertaking, this self-described food fanatic started TheLasVegasFoodie. We sat down with Stewart to get her take on some of the best vegan meals in the city. Sumo Sushi One may not immediately consider a sushi spot for a vegan menu, yet Stewart raves about Sumo’s fresh options. The restaurant has been in business for over twenty years and recently opened a new location at Durango and Warm Springs. “Sumo Sushi has so many fresh vegetables available, which prompted me to ask for a vegan order,” she shares. “The chefs absolutely deliver with either a traditional maki or hand roll.” Taco Y Taco Mexican Eatery Stewart touts the authentic flavor of this local Mexican restaurant: “You can’t go wrong with any of their tacos, freshly-made tortillas, and selection of salsas.” Taco Y Taco’s upscale environment and full-service bar make it a popular local spot. Vegan diners appreciate the mushroom, cactus, or soyrizo menu items that can fill a taco, burrito, tostada, or salad bowl dish bursting-with-flavor. They are, in fact, the most common type of birth defect and the number one cause of death during the first year of life. Nearly twice as many children die from congenital heart disease in the United States each year as die from all forms of childhood cancers combined. Children’s Heart Foundation was founded by a unique and passionate group of parents and Nevada pediatric cardiologists who have gained firsthand knowledge of the emotional and financial toll exacted by a child’s heart condition. All are eager to provide appropriate services for heart children and their families.
