PROGESTERONE

HORMONAL BALANCE AND MENSTRUAL HEALTH

REPRODUCTIVE HEALTH AND FOOD

BEFORE YOU READ THIS GUIDE Ovarian cysts, spotting blood, PMS, an irregular/absent menstrual cycle and having brownish-colored blood for 3 or more days during the beginning of your period are some of the most common symptoms of progesterone deficiency. Progesterone and estrogen are the hormones that help to regulate the menstrual cycle and play an important role in pregnancy. Progesterone deficiency occurs when there is not enough progesterone in the body, causing your progesterone levels too be abnormally lower than your estrogen levels. There are 4 organs in the body that play a role in keeping progesterone levels balanced. Giving all 4 of them the nutrients they need daily and reducing foods that can cause them harm when eaten excessively can help to reverse the symptoms of progesterone deficiency naturally.

PAGE 01

"IF YOU FOCUS ON TAKING CARE OF ALL 4 ORGANS, YOU WILL LEAVE NO STONE UNTURNED, WHICH INCREASES YOUR CHANCES OF REVERSING THE SYMPTOMS 100%." You should notice a difference in your symptoms within 3-6 months if you are consistently implementing the advice in this guide. You should check in with your physcian to see if it’s safe for you to make the dietary changes and use the supplements that are being recommended. This information is meant to bring awareness to how certain foods and eating habits can cause a hormonal imbalance but is not a substitute for professional medical advice. Do not wait to seek medical counsel, diagnosis or treatment.

A PROGESTERONE DEFICIENCY CAN EASILY BE HEALED BY SIMPLY TAKING BREAKS TO EAT SMALL MEALS, TAKING YOUR SUPPLEMENTS AND BEING MORE MINDFUL OF WHAT YOU ARE EATING.

REDUCE THE AMOUNT OF STRESS THAT IS ON YOUR ADRENAL GLANDS The adrenal glands can produce too much of a hormone called cortisol when they are being overworked. High levels of cortisol suppresses progesterone levels.

Eating large amounts of processed foods daily puts unnecessary stress on your adrenal glands. Reducing your processed food intake down to one meal per day will reduce the amount of cortisol your body is producing.

If you would like a list of processed foods click here.

"YOUR ADRENAL GLANDS NEED 320 MILLIGRAMS OF MAGNESIUM DAILY TO PRODUCE THE PROPER AMOUNT OF CORTISOL"

This is my magnesium supplement recommendation If you're a person who is prone to experiencing burnout, also known as Adrenal Fatigue, I recommend you use maca root 3-4 days out of the week. Adrenal fatigue is when your adrenal glands are too exhausted to function properly from being overworked. Maca root is a plant that helps to stabilize the adrenal glands so they can secrete a balanced amount of hormones. PAGE 03

BALANCE THE HORMONE PRODUCTION IN YOUR PITUITARY GLAND The pituitary gland releases hormones that control the different phases of your menstrual cycle and your ability to ovulate

The pituitary gland secretes two hormones that determine how much estrogen and progesterone the ovaries should secrete. The pituitay gland needs zinc and all 8 of the essential B vitamins to secrete a balanced amount of these hormones. The recommended daily intake for zinc for someone with female anatomy is 8 milligrams per day. I recommend you get all of your B vitamins from a B-complex supplement because it can be stressful to try to get all of them from food everyday.

This is my zinc supplement recommendation This is my B-Complex supplement recommendation If you've been taking the zinc and B- complex supplements consistently for 3 months but you're still having symptoms such as spotting brownish colored blood at the beginning of your period for 3 or more days, fibrocycstic breast lumps, leaking breast discharge or an irregular cycle, then you may need to try a vitex fruit supplement. Vitex is an herb that balances the secretion of hormones in the pituitary gland. You need to continue to take the zinc and B vitamins too. Its normal for your periods to be sporadic during the first 3 months of taking the vitex. This is my vitex supplement recommendation PAGE 04

STABILIZE THE AMOUNT OF INSULIN YOUR PANCREAS SECRETES The hormones that are being secreted by the pituitary gland to let the ovaries know how much progesterone and estrogen to secrete are regulated by how much blood glucose, also know as blood sugar, is in your bloodstream. When you eat foods that convert into sugar, your pancreas secretes insulin. Insulin is the hormone that is responsible for moving glucose from the bloodstream into your cells. When you have a poor appetite and barely eat, it can cause your blood sugar levels to drop too low to stimulate the pituitary gland to produce an adequate amount of hormones. When you have an insatiable appetite, it can cause your blood sugar levels to be too high, which overstimulates the pituitary gland and throws it out of sync with the circadian cycle of the ovaries.

PAGE 05

"The circadian cycle of your ovaries relies heavily on hormonal signals from the pituitary gland to know when to increase and decrease progesterone secretion." You can stabilize your blood sugar levels by stabilizing your appetite. A poor appetite or insatiable appetite makes it nearly impossible to stabilize your insulin levels so you can reverse your progesterone deficiency symptoms.

Click here to read the Appetite Guide that will teach you about everything you need to know to stabilize your blood sugar levels.

AVOID OVERSTIMULATING YOUR OVARIES Dairy causes enzymes in the ovaries to activate inactive hormones and overstimulates the ovaries in a way that causes cysts to develop. Reducing the amount of dairy you consume down to 2-3 meals a month can prevent overstimulating the ovaries. Consuming less dairy means that you will also be consuming less calcium. The parathyroid glands control the amount of calcium in the blood. Your parathyroid glands need 1,000 milligrams of calcium daily to function properly. When you don't get enough calcium daily, it causes an imbalance with your parathyroid hormones.

This is my Calcium+Vitamin D3 supplement recommendation(you need vitamin D to absorb calcium) I highly recommend you incorporate more turmeric, ginger and omega 3 fatty acids(EPA/DHA) into your daily regimen, because they are excellent at fighting against the inflammation that causes adrenal glands to burnout and triggers enzymes to overstimulate the ovaries. The body needs at least 500 milligrams of Omega 3(EPA/DHA) daily. Its extremely important that you consume turmeric and ginger within 30 minutes after eating dairy.
