LIVER The liver is responsible for regulating many of the hormones in the body. When the liver cannot convert or remove any excess hormones efficiently, it can eventually lead to having too much of a hormone in the bloodstream. You can help your liver metabolize estrogen efficiently by consuming foods that contain chlorophyll. Chlorophyll is the green color that can be found in green plants and green algae. On the days that you don't eat green colored foods, its best to take a chlorophyll supplement.

GALLBLADDER The gallbladder is a pouchlike organ that is located in the upper part of your stomach. The gallbladder is responsible for storing a fluid that is produced by the liver called Bile. When the liver isn't producing enough bile fluid, it prevents estrogen from being metabolized and eliminated from the body efficiently.

Eating one serving of a root vegetable at least 5 days per week helps your gallbladder produce bile fluid daily. If you don't cook root vegetables like beets, carrots, radishes, ginger root or artichoke, then i recommend you mix some raw ones or a root vegetable powder into a small smoothie.

Beets are the best for producing bile fluid. This is a beet powder that I like to use. Dandelion tea is a second alternative you can use to produce bile fluid instead of root vegetables. Drink one 8 oz. cup at least 5 days a week. This is my favorite brand to use. Drinking too much alcohol can also cause poor bile flow. Reducing your intake down to 1-2 alcholic beverages a week while also consuming root vegetables or dandelion tea can help to ensure the gallbladder has enough bile fluid. PAGE 04


CIRCULATORY SYSTEM Your circulatory system circulates blood and lymph fluid throughout the body. The circulatory system is responsible for the flow of blood, nutrients, oxygen, gases and hormones throughout the body. When you have too much estrogen moving through your circulatory system it causes estrogen dominance symptoms. It is very important that the amount of estrogen in your bloodstream drops below the amount of progesterone during the two weeks before your period starts to prevent estrogen dominance symptoms. Avoiding highly estrogenic foods during the two weeks befor your period allows the estrogen levels to drop. Highly estrogenic foods naturally contain substances that mimic the estrogen in your body.

These are 10 highly estrogenic foods you should avoid starting day 14 of your cycle until your menstrual period starts each month: Wheat Flaxseed Soy Products (Tofu, Tempeh, Soy Milk, ectc.) Chickpeas Pistachio Nuts Dried Fruit Sesame Seeds Black Beans Bran Cereal Alfalfa Sprouts


GUT Estrobolome is the bacteria in your gut that is responsible for metabolizing estrogen. The estrobolome regulates the circulation of estrogen from your liver to your intestine, where its reabsorbed into your blood and returned to your liver. When the gut environment is imbalanced, the estrobolome is negatively effected, causing an excessive amount of estrogen to be in the body.

If you are still experiencing discomfort in your stomach after 90 days of taking a probiotic, the second change that you can make is to reduce the amount of gluten that you are consuming because you may be suffering from a gluten intolerance. Gluten is the name for proteins found in wheat, barley, and rye. Gluten is also added to foods as a thickening agent or to provide texture and flavor. The peptides found in gluten are resistant to stomach acids, which can make it hard for some people to digest. These peptides can cause various symptoms that disrupt the healthy balance of bacteria in the gut. You can try eliminating foods that contain gluten for 30 days to see if you notice that you are experiencing less stomach discomfort and then reintroduce small amounts to see how much gluten your gut can tolerate.

Consuming foods and beverages that are rich in probiotics can help you maintain an acidic environment in the body, which is what you will need in order to maintain a healthy gut. Probiotics are often called "friendly" or "helpful" bacteria because they help keep both the gut and vagina healthy. It is recommended that we consume from 1 billion to 10 billion colony-forming units(CFU) of probiotics several days per week to improve our chance of keeping our hormones balanced.

SMALL INSTESTINE The body needs at least 64 oz. of water daily to move estrogen through the small instestine

Eating too much sugar can cause a small intestinal bacterial overgrowth(SIBO) within the small intestine. This means that there is too much bacteria in the small intestine. Since estrogen leaves the body through the intestine, this can prevent excess estrogen from leaving the body efficiently. So be mindful of how much sugar you consume each day. LARGE INTESTINE In order to remove excess estrogen from your body, you must have regular bowel movements daily since estrogen leaves the body through your stool. When your stool is stuck inside of your large intestine for too long, the estrogen that was about to exit your body begins to absorb into your colon and return back to your bloodstream. PAGE 22

Eating fiber-rich foods ensures that estrogen leaves your body daily because estrogen binds with the fiber that is passing through the large intestine and it adds bulk to your stool, which helps it pass quicker through the colon. Click here to get a list of fiber -rich foods.

Eating too much meat throughout the day can also slow your stool down. Reducing your meat consumption down to one meal per day can make a huge difference in your estrogen dominance symptoms. But you should still make sure you're getting the recommended intake of 50 grams of protein per day from plant-based sources of protein or you'll end up with an entirely different hormonal imbalance.
