Capable of supporting engine builds that produce up to 140+ H.P. Since its inception, the Hypercharger has continued to evolve to meet the needs of the performance minded rider. Mike Roland’s testing & development of our Wild Things Performance® Products provided an incredible wealth of information about airflow into & out of an engine. Mike worked closely with our talented design staff & what you see here is without a doubt the best flowing Hypercharger we have ever produced. The interior shapes, especially the critical radius leading into the carb or throttle body, have been carefully designed. The outer cover incorporates an additional scoop to direct air into a high-flow, washable foam filter element that seats snuggly in the end of a round K&N filter element. This filter assembly is one of the best flowing on the market & is capable of supplying enough air to even the highest output street motors. The frontal opening is huge & as with all Hyperchargers, the vacuum operated butterflies allow almost unrestricted airflow to the filter under high-load riding situations. Pro-R Hyperchargers come complete with mounting hardware & crankcase breather kits.

• Outstanding performance on stock or mildly modified engines up to 90 H.P. With the addition of the Stinger Trap Door (P/N 8498 - pg 206), we have tested & proven the Hypercharger to support engines up to at least 130 H.P.
Normally, replacing a stock air cleaner with a Hypercharger will net you a 7-9 horsepower increase at the rear wheel, with no other modifications! (See graph at right) Add a carb recalibration kit, a good performance exhaust system (not drag pipes) & a 12-14 horsepower increase is normal.
• Stock or touring applications where added performance is desired, but not paramount. Comfort & driver leg-room is a major factor. • Custom applications where matching or contrasting color trap door & butterflies are used as a styling accent.

Unfortunately, almost all Harley-Davidson engines that vent the crankcase through the cylinder heads also expel oil through the same passages. Venting directly into the air cleaner, especially a free-flowing air cleaner, often results in an oily mess on the side of the bike. The banjo fittings & chrome tubes route the vented gasses upward so gravity can keep any expelled oil droplets in the engine where they belong. We recommend venting the crankcase to open air by running the vent line up & out of sight beneath the tank, but an optional catch tank is available for those who would rather vent to a closed container.

The Wild Things Fuel Injection Controller is load based. Aside from reading throttle position & R.P.M., it also takes into account the load the engine is under. We’ve combined performance & great looks into one package. With stock head pipes, nearly all the exhaust from both cylinders is routed out the right side muffler. With Crusher True Duals, each cylinder breathes through its own head pipe & muffler, greatly improving flow & making the bike much easier to tune. Crusher True Duals include heat shields & mounting hardware. The ’07-’08 versions & are fitted with oxygen sensor ports.
