Summer Paradise by Drífa I was on the plane to Australia, with my mom and my brother. My 20 year old brother was sleeping, of course. My mom was reading a book called “Summer Paradise”. I didn’t know what it was about but I was hoping this would be my summer paradise. We’ve had it rough these last years but now I know that everything is going to be okay. As long as I had my brother and mom by my side. Which I did now, so this could be my summer paradise. “Hey mom?” She answered about one minute later. “Yeah?” She looked at me with her blue eyes. “What is that book about that you’re reading?” “Oooh, it’s a love story.” “Oh, okay.” We didn’t talk much after that. Finally we arrived. “Blue?” Yes, I called my brother Blue. It’s kind of a funny story. When I was little, I was trying to say Chad, instead I said Blue. Ever since, I’ve been calling him that. “Yeeah?” He was waking up. “We’re here” I said with a little laugh. When we got out of the plane, we got our bags and waited for a Taxi. The taxi ride was long, but I saw the beautiful sea. I was always so in love with the sea. I couldn’t wait to jump in it. “We’re here” The taxi driver said with his Australian accent. I loved those. The hotel was so beautiful and big. I honestly don’t know how we could afford this trip. Well, I was working all last summer and Blue was a writer and my mom worked at the mall so, yeah we worked hard for this money. The lobby was really fancy and a lot of red colors there. I walked a little bit in the hotel and saw the big pool. I liked the sea more than the pool. “Flake, come on.” I got lost in my thoughts again. “Comming”. We walked into our hotel room, it was big.
