DESIGN PHILOSOPHY
I like to receive new things and face every challenge, especially any related to Design and Computer Subjects. The way of my learning is to collect all the information, analyze, digest, and study it thoroughly until I find its philosophy. Using “Detail is the key to success” as my learning attitude, I exert myself to the utmost for grasping my projects in the college. I will devote all my ability and time to attain my vision - being a successful interior designer.

MONA is a boutique hotel which immerses Asian culture though our concept, Ink. It is about the feeling of mountains and rocks, flowers and trees, and everything in between; or representations of our relationship with nature. We wish to express the atmosphere of nature in the overall interior though ink art concept. Throughout our design, people would be encouraged to appreciate the nature as well as to feel the lightness, layering, overlapping and repetition of ink.
DESIGN CONCEPT
Ink, practices, and concepts of ink art are most commonly represented by calligraphy and landscape painting. And they are developed with the main theme, nature. An idea frequently returned to is the process of transformation embodied in the Taoist tenet of ‘Stillness in Movement, Movement in Stillness’. This also explained artistic understandings of the interaction between ink culture and nature. Our design has expressed the feeling of nature in the overall space though ink art concept. It not only reminds people to comprehend our relationship with nature but also encourage them to appreciate the nature through our design.

DESIGN CONCEPT
To some extent, ink painting is a collage of landscapes, combined with a multi-point perspective to form a painting. This reminds me of using "THROUGH" as the restaurant's design concept. In the tatami location, I particularly add more pieces of glass to show this effect.

DESIGN CONCEPT
EMPATHY is the ability to understand and share FEELINGS and EXPERIENCES of others. It is a key element of emotional intelligence and is the connection with individuals and others. However, in some aspects of our lives, we interact with people who seem to lack empathy.
We usually use our own impression to define other people or even judge them. However, this attitude and behaviour really ignore the feelings and human nature of others. Through this exhibition, I would like to have the visitors realized that there are different points of view in seeing and thinking things. If we want to understand each other thoroughly, we need to observe and perceive other people's perspectives.
