i think the rope image is a good scale as it doesnt diminish the value of the linear content. my next step is too crop sections of the ropes as their are some sections that are good stand alone prints. It would be nice t try this print onto a background.
this print i created by cropping sections of the rope out to recreate a knit style print ispired by the fisherman’s gansey.

recipe:-
3:2 ratio opaque binder create grey base with 1 drop black. 1 part turquoise add more turquoise then black to create shade 3 times darker.
test this as final print on dyed fabric.

FASTENINGS ARE A KEY PART IN MY DESIGNS AS MY FOCUS IS ON WORKWEAR FOR THE FISHERMAN. i WANTED A OBVIOUS PLAY ON FUNCTINALITY. FASTENINGS THAT ARE QUICK AND EFFICENT ARE KEY. my focus is on toggles press d rings , and quick ties.
