• With spores. • Spores are special cells that germinate and grow into new plants. • They have a hard cover for protection.

FERNS Ferns are much larger than mosses.


FERNS

They have a thick stem called rhizome that grows underground. The roots and leaves grow from the rhizome.


FERNS Ferns have large leaves called fronds.


FERNS Fern spores form on the underside of the leaves, on dark spots called sori.
