The project is a collection of wall hangings, wallpapers and interior fabrics that reflect the beauty and delicacy found in pre Columbian gold craftsmanship. The graphic style of this ancient art is compared with the modern esthetics of micro chips and circuit boards. Thus, creating a visual parallel of the ancient and the contemporary world.
Colour palette and texture were very important for Laura. This is why she hand dyed each and every one of the fabrics, papers and wallpapers. The main technique for this project was screen printing. Laura created her artwork using Photoshop and Illustrator and then printed the surfaces with different binders. Other techniques used were laser cut and illustration with jute thread.
