June 27 - It’s the 38th year of the Dunster Ice Cream Social! The social event of the year for the Robson Valley Region. Starts at 7:00 pm at the Dunster Community Hall, with potluck cakes, pies, cookies, squares, and many flavours of ice cream to top things off! Kids tent with balloons and face painting. Then dance to the Midnight Howlers from Valemount, starting at 9:00 pm. Admission for Social and Dance -$8.00 adults $6.00 ages 6 to 10 and free to children 5 and under. June 27-28 - Gymkhana weekend at the Valemount Saddle and Wagon Club! Starting Saturday at 10:00 am, Clinic with Melanie Brown, Member price: $15, Non Member $20. Sunday at 10:00 am: Gymkhana games to win a jackpot! $10 (will all go into the jackpot, which will be divided between 1st 2nd and 3rd place). Starting at 9:30pm is Movie Under the Stars, bring chairs, free popcorn. Everybody welcome. July 8, 22 - Summer Street Festival hosted by the McBride Youth Committee is at 630pm on Main Street in McBride. Food Truck will be onsite. July 11-12 – The British Columbia Rodeo Association (amateur/semi-pro) comes to the Canoe Mountain Rodeo Grounds in Valemount, featuring Wheelhouse under the parachute on Saturday night.

July 13-17 or August 10-14 (two choices) – Active Living Kids Summer Camp for kids aged 6-12. Sponsored by the Canoe Valley Community Association and Kinnickinnickers Family Centre. Camps run 10am to 4 pm each day from Monday to Friday. Activities may depend on the weather. No drop-ins, call 250-566-0008 for info and to register. Kinnickinnickers Family Centre is open regular hours throughout the summer, 10-4 M-F. July 21: Lego Robotics Workshop at Valemount Library. 10 am and 2pm. Limit 10 per workshop. Age 8 -14 years.
